Right, so you've got a Wii.....

They love a variety of play and I think in my household the Wii can be incorporated as something that we all do together:thumbsup2

thats the great thing about the Wii - we all play bowling together and tennis. I'll never forget a family we saw eating at WCC at the WL, mother, father and 2 sons about 6 and 8, all immensely overweight, kids had nintendo ds's and the entire family did not speak a word to each other all meal  ! the kids just ploughed on eating and blipping their machines for 2 hours!

Video games like the Wii can be great, but sad to see many parents like that using things like the DS as a babysitter.

balance is good.:thumbsup2

okay I'm one of those horrible mothers

You're not a horrible Mum, I agree with what you say.

No, you're not a horrible mum ~ I refused to buy mine video games too and always told my DDs if they wanted them they would have to save up the money themselves. Well, my younger two took me at my word and saved up their birthday and pocket money for a whole year until they had enough for a DS Lite each. They've both been sensible with the amount of time they spend on them so we bought a Wii as a family Christmas present this year. At the moment we've just got Wii sports, Wii play and Mario Olympics but I'm looking to get a Wii fit when it's back in stock at £69 as I refuse to pay silly money for one!
