As I sit here this morning revamping my resume on Monster to make it better reflect that I'm a systems analyst verses the programmer, I noticed a link for "Right Job, Wrong Job" taking me off to Tickle & 41 questions about my personality. Hmmm - OK, might as well give it a shot...

My results were amazing, surprising and a great uplift!
My top job: Architect (OK, but I'm not going back to school for what my BIL does)
Runners up included:
Psychologist (I'd first have to figure myself out!)
Computer Analyst (Hey!)
Chemist (nope - hated my HS chemistry teacher)
Pilot (cool :rotfl: )
Flight Engineer (a what? I'll have to look this up)
Veterinarian (I wish I had known this back when I was 18)

I figured the results would be so far off I'd be laughing at them, but instead they seem to be spot-on.... well, other than the chemist bit (never liked the fumes)

In addition they reversed the calculations to find out what job would be the wrong job... amazingly they came up with Electrician. I had gone through college for 3 years as an EE major, and changed over to computers when I became depressed at the prospect of dealing with circuitry for the rest of my life.

Take the test! Tell us your results!
(sorry - can't put the link as it's redirected through Monster. Go to www.tickle.com and search for "Right Job")

editing to add, after the test you need to click "no" to a ton of offers and then you'll find a link to pay $13 (don't do it!) or to take you back to your results. It's a pain, I know & am sorry.

I'm laughing at my results. :p

My "Wrong Job" is Security Officer.

My top job is Graphic Artist.

Your runner-up jobs are: Avg. salary:
Civil engineer $83,000 - $95,000
Firefighter $27,000 - $45,000

Computer network specialist $92,000 - $145,000
Cook / chef $29,000 - $34,000
Forest worker $44,000 - $64,000

I don't have an artistic bone in my body! I want to be a dolphin trainer and none of these jobs come near that. I have to say they got me wrong.

I just did this and at the end it said I would have to pay $12.95 for my results. Sorry but that was a waste of my time!

I didn't have to pay. Just clicked for the free results and declined offers.

Mine did that too after I checked "no" off to 1,000 offers - but I clicked on a link that said "back to results" and that brought me to it... do you still have the window open?

My wrong job is an Underwriter

This is EXACTLY what I got for "right" jobs! The thing is...I've actually thought about each of them at one time or another. I really wanted to be a musician more than anything.

I wonder why the system is pushing Architect.
Perhaps on this board we're similar to each other in more than just our love of Disney.

I've thought about a couple of them too. I have always dreamed of becoming a writer.

Mine was the same as yours except my wrong job was electrician. I'm glad to see some different results though. After reading the first few posts I was thinking great now we're all going to be architects. I would say it was fairly right on w/ me.

I want to be a dolphin trainer

Me too. I wanted to work at Seaworld when I grew up. I haven't growed (yes the mispelling was purposely) up yet and I'm obviously not doing that now...I just make trips there often to visit. I've done the dolphin swim a couple of times now. I'd love to do the trainer for a day program at Seaworld sometime too.

That is exactly what mine said. I don't have an artistic bone in my body either.

It wouldn't work for me. I took the test and got to the first page to decline offers, then it said it couldn't find the website. Oh well!
