As I sit here this morning revamping my resume on Monster to make it better reflect that I'm a systems analyst verses the programmer, I noticed a link for "Right Job, Wrong Job" taking me off to Tickle & 41 questions about my personality. Hmmm - OK, might as well give it a shot...
My results were amazing, surprising and a great uplift!
My top job: Architect (OK, but I'm not going back to school for what my BIL does)
Runners up included:
Psychologist (I'd first have to figure myself out!)
Computer Analyst (Hey!)
Chemist (nope - hated my HS chemistry teacher)
Pilot (cool
)
Flight Engineer (a what? I'll have to look this up)
Veterinarian (I wish I had known this back when I was 18)
I figured the results would be so far off I'd be laughing at them, but instead they seem to be spot-on.... well, other than the chemist bit (never liked the fumes)
In addition they reversed the calculations to find out what job would be the wrong job... amazingly they came up with Electrician. I had gone through college for 3 years as an EE major, and changed over to computers when I became depressed at the prospect of dealing with circuitry for the rest of my life.
Take the test! Tell us your results! (sorry - can't put the link as it's redirected through Monster. Go to www.tickle.com and search for "Right Job")
editing to add, after the test you need to click "no" to a ton of offers and then you'll find a link to pay $13 (don't do it!) or to take you back to your results. It's a pain, I know & am sorry.
