:badpc::badpc::badpc:

I had started signing up on Disney's website and on the Disboards early this spring when I first started planning for our September trip.

I started getting the pin code e-mails in August and was perturbed that it was addressed to a different person. As I started to learn more about what the pin codes entailed, I would get :yay: then  whenever I saw them again. I just started researching on Disney Cruises 2 days ago, and lo and behold, I get an e-mail yesterday for the first time from Disney Cruise, again another pin code, again addressed to that same family!

I've gone back on Disney's website and updated my profile, (really hadn't changed) and sent an e-mail to technical support-general resort info and politely asked if they could change that family's name to our name. Any other thing I could do? I've looked at the vacation planner they've sent us, and it's sent to the correct family and address.

Is it true that I can't use these codes even though they were sent to me, but my name isn't on them?

Wow that is awful! I know that our latest pin was attached to our name and address and we had to verify all of it when we called to book. I would think they should let you use it since they messed up, but I have no idea. I'd be interested to see what they decide to do...hope they'll let you use it!!

This has happened to me too. The email is an old one which gets directed to our current address (same last name) but not us. I have called twice this week to try and use it, but address and phone and first name don't match so they won't let me.

Whoever this person is has missed out on every pin that has come out last year or two b/c I have received them . . . although we have never received in our name and our correct email.

Last fall I got a manager to let me use the pin after calling a few times but a few days later it was released to the general public so I am assuming that is why she did that.

Call Disney Travel co. If your address and phone number is attached to the pin, you can use it. It has happened to me several times. the PIN will be named for somebody I once traveled with, but comes to my email. If I call and check, the PIN has my phone number and address, and it gets corrected. Can't hurt to call.

My mom has never traveled with us. I ordered something for her once through the disney store online, during her summer vacation and maybe I ordered a DVD for her once, but I used her email address. We have gotten a PIN code everytime they have released them in the last year, with HER name on it. I have asked Disney to repeatedly remove her name from our email. It came to BOTH email accounts. I did tell them that the next time they send me one, I am going to ask to use it b/c I am tired of getting her PIN offers.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I'll have to check if the address and phone number is ours, if so that'll definitely be more ammunition on my side to use.

I am having some what of the same problem. I had ordered the custom maps for my niece. Now when I get an e mail from Disney Destinations it is addressed to her with my information. I called the number and was connected to Cast Member support. God only knows how that happened, so I was transferred over to the operator who then transferred me to someone in sales and travel. You had to be a travel agent in order to talk to her...

What is the number I need to call in order to get this taken care of......:confused3

here's my story fwiw...

I received my 1st pin code about 3 months ago.:worship: My email addressed to my sister.:confused3 My sister also received the same email to her email address. I called CRO told me i could not use it.:scared1: They said they would fix the problem with me receiving codes intended for my sis. I received 2 more since then with the last one being yesterday, my sis received hers on the same day.

so i started thinking how unfair it was that she will forever be tied to my email because of a previous trip together and she will be getting codes for her to my address and hers.

So....i called today and explained the situation and they actually let me use it!!!!:woohoo::banana::woohoo:

SO it doesn't hurt to call and call again, if needed.

Oh Boy! Can I relate to you! I had a post on here some months ago about how frustrated I got with disney for the same situation, only to be blasted and railed on by some posters. We had the same problem, I called three different times and got three different answers. Finally I got a manager to tell me we could book it. My frustration was how no one could "right" the situation, and how it seemed so inconsistant with policies etc. every time I called. My pin had our name on the email and was attached to my number, but on disney's end it was some one else. I hope you are one of the lucky ones and have a magical trip!:lovestruc

Thank you, Disney Fool:worship: for the phone number and to tell me to try and call.

I called and our info was attached to the other family but enough so that they put me on hold while the CM worked to untangle it(and maybe ask her manager about it), then she let me use the pin code! :yay: I'm hoping that future e-mails will still keep coming but with our correct info on it. I think the key thing was that our info was showing enough on Disney's side that they first said my e-mail was mine, but when they dug further found wrong info attached to it.

Because it's a motivation for them to try and book a vacation while they have you on the phone it's a good idea that once they do allow the use of the pin that they also fix the info for you. You could always cancel before the 45 day mark.
