Do you still get a cute little card when you ride up front in the Monorail with the operator? (Ok, this was from about 6 years ago...)
???? Thanks! (If not, I won't mention it to kids...)

I think it depends on the driver. We have gotten them some times and not gotten them others.
Last Thursday we did get them. :thumbsup2

I've done it with my girls the last 2 trips and they have. I love riding up front you get to hear all the disney gossip!

Last year when we rode up front, the driver didn't offer them, but I asked, and then she gave us each one. She was nice about it, I think maybe she just didn't think to offer them. If you aren't offered a card, I would ask for one.

I've never heard of this, what type of card is it?

It's a Monorail Co-Pilot License, aztecgoods. Very cute!

We got them last November, both times we rode up front actually! (We only asked to ride up front once, the other time it was pretty dead and the CM asked us, very cool!)

Thanks, sounds cute, lucky you, I wish I lived in panama city, we go there a lot too!

The first time I rode up front with my step-mom and niece, none of us recieved co-pilot licenses (I didn't know they existed), but then at Easter when I rode up front with DH (who had never done it before), we recieved them...it was a very nice surprise. For those who scrapbook (like me!), they're perfect! :)

cool I live over on the beach!
mabe we have ran into each other at one time or another! :)

Can anybody give any tips on getting to ride up front? Who do we have to ask? I would love for my friend to get to ride up front on the Monorail on his birthday!!

Is this a kids only thing or can adult couples get a ride in the front? I would love to do this, but alas my kids are too grown to be considered kids now.

Anyone -- including adults only ;) -- can ride up front. All you have to do is ask. If there's room they'll let you get on, or you can wait for another one if there's already someone before you. Typically, you'll have better luck trying at times that aren't the busiest (i.e. park opening/closing times) or on the less-crowded resort trains. Unless it's changed, only 4 can sit up front at a time.

I rode last Friday and didnt get one. I have gotten them before in the past so I guess it does depent on the driver.

Yes it is only 4. My 7 yr old wanted to and we tried all week but there was always a couple groups ahead of us so it wasn't possible but on our last day I asked and he said he already had 3 so I sent my son up and I sat in the next car and we rode around the epcot loop. He loved it and when we met at the TTC he had one of those cards.

I got my co-pilot's license in 1995 and carry it in my wallet at all times. :cool1: After all, you never know when you might need it during a traffic stop or something :rotfl:

I didn't get a card when I rode up front with the driver last year. Of course, I was 32 at the time. :p

I think you have a better chance of getting to sit up front on the resort monorail. We asked one time at MK to ride up front and they told us they only do it from the resorts, dont' know if this is true. We asked at the Poly station and were allowed to ride, and DD was given a co pilot license.

We rode up front twice in June, once from Epcot and the other from the TTC going to Epcot. You just have to ask. When we rode from Epcot we waited for the next trip because they already had someone. By the way, we didn't get the cards either time. I didn't know they existed. Just another reason to go back!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2
