Riding Floats

There used to be a way to be selected to ride on the Mardi Gras Floats.
Does anyone know if they still take "volunteers" to throw out beads from the floats?
Or is there an Upgrade ticket you can buy to ride?

This year, I was told, that there will be no "volunteers". You can email a request if you are an AP holder, just check the main site.

The only way to ride on the floats is to enter the contest, but it is only for Annual Passholders. Last year there was a "waiting area" were some extras were selected to fill any empty spaces, which we waited for 2 hours and still didn't get picked, so I think it's a waste of time for the waiting area.
