Riding Alone? Standing in lines?

So me and my hubby are going to Disney in October, and my question is that he is afraid of many of the rides...he is getting better...but still worried about some of the rides...so I am wondering which rides he can go in line with me for, because we don't really want to be apart...and then drop our of before the actual ride...I know we did this on ToT, but other rides before my sister would just go with me and my mom would stay with him...Just wondering what I should do and if anybody else has experienced this type of issue...Thank you so so much!!

All of the ‘thrill’ type rides (like roller coasters) have an exit right before boarding for people who decide not to ride. Some are well marked - like Splash Mountain has several signs that say you are approaching your least chance to leave. Others are not well marked, but if you tell the CM as you reach the boarding area, they will direct him how to get out.

Thank you so so much!!! We are both so so happy to hear this!!! We appreciate this so much!!

Every attraction has a "chicken exit". Usually these will take you directly to or outside of the Unload area.

Tell him to BUC up and ride the darn rides...he is already in line....:rotfl2:

Seriously...I backed out of Mission Space right after they assigned our ride location and we were about to get on...I wasnt feeling too good for some reason but I told the boys I would ride...well I got them on and told the CM I was sick and wanted to exit...I have ridden many times before with no issues...just felt a bit naseous...they took me to a door and I left...If you get that far please make sure you get with a CM as it can become a safety issue....

the queues are some of the best parts of the rides...

As others have stated there are ways to exit every ride. That said just to give you an alternative is to use single rider for some of the bigger attractions to save time :) If he is gonna exit anyway go thru single rider together and he can exit and you get on. The lines in single rider are typically shorter than the regular que

There are some rides that have single rider lines too, so you can go on that line, usually much faster, and have him wait outside. Or do fast pass for the rides he doesn't want to do and it will go by fast with no wait and again he can wait outside. I do this all the time. My DH goes on rides I don't want to and I just wait outside.

Okay - so I'm one that tends not to ride the rides since I get motion sick really easily. In short lines, I tend to stick around and then tell the CM I just want to exit. For long lines, sometimes we separate, and I go do something else and we have an agreed upon meet up place. This works out well for us because I more commonly need a trip to restroom, a drink, and snack, or a chance to look through a store he isn't interested in. And I love people watching at Disney. Watching the group dynamics around you is fun! You can almost always guess the conversation that is going on....

Sticking together in every long line just because you want to be together..... okay that's just not my relationship with my sweetie..... a few minutes apart does us good during long days! I remember the one time he waited like 40 minutes for Astro Orbitor. I enjoyed my popcorn and fresh bottle of water and the break in the shade. He came back grumpy - but I was all refreshed - and that helped us not have a couple's breakdown because my tolerance for handling his whining at the moment was high! :lovestruc
