RideYellow cab: left item no response

We got the Rideyellow taxi from Long Beach airport to DLR last Thursday 10/30. As soon as taxi left hotel, my brother realized he left his down jacket (with EarPods in pocket) in taxi. We called immediately and left messages with the Rideyellow business office asking them to call us back. We left 3 messages in the next two days. We also made a lost and found detailed request through them. We included the taxi number from the hotel security camera. We have now made 3 online requests. They say they will get back in 2 business days which they haven't.

I am wondering if anyone else has had any luck retrieving an item from them and if there are any other avenues to try besides the lost and found request.
 
Not with a taxi, but with an Uber. I discovered right after the uber dropped us off at our hotel that I'd left my phone in the car. There was no way to directly contact the driver so we went through the whole process of contacting Uber, making a claim, etc etc. I never saw my phone again (which was 2 days old). I could track it until it went dead but I never got it back. The worst part, besides the fact that I didn't insure it, was that I'd just taken a bunch of pictures of my daughter after her performance at the Pantages, which is why we were in LA. I didn't want to bring a purse to the play so I just had my phone in my pocket (another big mistake).

I read that it's very unlikely if you leave something in an Uber that you'll ever see it again, as there is no way to directly contact the driver and the company doesn't want to bother with it. I was hoping the driver might find it and return it to the hotel, but he wouldn't necessarily know who it was who left it behind and he lived about 40 miles away from where he dropped us off.

I hope that Yellow Cab is better about things like that than Uber. I wish you luck!
