I have never even thought about not being able to fit on rides in Disney so this is depressing but what rides might be a problem for me- 180 pounds, 5'4. Larger chest.
I am 5'5" and 220 pounds, and I rode FJ last weekend in a middle seat without any problem, I am also fairly large chested, but was able to pull it down, though it was snug initially. And the TM DID push down on it as well, still...![]()
So I've never been but I'm wondering....
If the employees aren't able to push down the bars, can someone I'm traveling with do the pushing?
I just got back. I think that you may have a problem on FJ. My daughter, 180 pounds, 5'5" large chest, was unable to ride. They have changed policy regarding the pushing down of the bar by the ride attendant. They will no longer do this and as a result, more people are unable to ride. There are test seats outside the ride that you can try.
Was she in an outer seat? Because that's mystifying. I'm bigger and shorter (big chest as well), and have had NO problems in the outer seats.
What came to mind the other day is...what are they doing with children? My son is well over the height limit, but TMs have helped him pull the restraint down to a certain point, simply because him stretching to reach it is taking *time*.

TMs can still pull down restraints to the point where it touches a person's body. It's those needing the extra pushes to get three clicks that are facing a problem now.
We have paid a lot of money to go back as he has now lost a bit of weight but if he still cant ride, I can honestly say we may decide never to go back if no-one will assist and he still cant ride FJ - I'm being deadly serious.
This whole thing is completely stressing me out. I thought I was going to be fine but now that they can't help with the clicks I am all worried again. I guess I will just have to give it a try when we go in a few weeks. I don't even mind not riding that much but I really don't want to be embarrassed in front of my husband and kids.
Universal must have been receiving complaints about TMs hurting people when they pushed the restraints down.
I imagine so. When I bet those people had asked to have the restraints pushed on. Grr.
