Hey, I will be visiting disney world in the summer and what rides do you recommend we visit at Magic Kingdom and Epcot considering that we are both adults?

Many thanks

Absolutely Soarin and Test Track at EPCOT, I would do the mild version of Mission Space before you attempt the full-on version just so you get an idea of what the ride is like before you commit to the centrifugal force - it's intense! Actually, everything at EPCOT is fun, make sure you check the schedules for the shows at the countries, the Chinese acrobats and UK Beatle show's are amazing!

Magic Kingdom for adults I would say there are less "must do" rides - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, Monsters Inc. - the rest are fun but are geared toward children. (Space Mountain will still be closed otherwise that would be on my list too)

Well, you are welcome to try any and all rides that you desire. If you will be visiting in the summer, the lines will get longer as the day progresses. If you are thinking of trying any of the Fantasyland rides (Dumbo, anyone? :thumbsup2), I would try them first as that area of the park gets progressively more crowded as the day goes on. Some rides/attractions we never miss - Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Small World, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Country Bear Jamboree. We add on others as time allows. Some of our group do Space Mountain - but not me (been there, done that :scared:).

Or you may wish to try out the coasters first if that appeals to you - Splash Mountain in particular is awesome! :woohoo:

In Epcot, Future World is open until 11, and then World Showcase opens as well. Soaring is one of the best attractions in Future World; getting in line quickly or snagging a FastPass for this ride is a must-do! We enjoy Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land and Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Also, Mission Space is something you may wish to check out.

World Showcase is great fun and generally we just go from country to country. The films in Canada, China and France are wonderful and the USA section is awesome. Try out the different foods and activities offered in each "land". Epcot can easily take a whole day, especially when experiencing it for the first time. It generally doesn't seem as crowded because it is such a large park.

Mickey's Philharmonic for the Magic Kingdom. It's a 3D show that incorporates elements from a number of classic Disney animated movies. It's also a nice respite from the summer heat.

There are several acts in Epcot that are worth seeing. In addition to the Chinese acrobats mentioned above, Off Kilter, the British Invasion and Miyuki and Japanese candy maker are my favorites. There are several others.

This link will provide the park times guides. Currently it has the guides for 5/31 - 6/6. It will give you an idea of what shows are available and when they will occur. The show times don't change dramatically within a season. Just click the park name at the top of the page.

I'm trying to imagine a child-free disney...ummmmm....it's easier to say which rides we would probably SKIP and those would be:

MK: Indy racers, all of Toontown, teacups, Dumbo, Magic Carpets of Alladin, Stitch's Escape, Tom Sawyer Island

Epcot: The Imagination Pavillion, the Energy Pavillion (sorry, but neither one of these appeals to us).

Everything else would be a try to do if at all possible. I would think two adults could make it around both parks a little quicker than a family of four.

Have fun!!

I'm in agreement with everyone but I'd add the Malestrom (in Norway) in Epcot - and for some reason I LOVE the boat ride through Mexico... but then, I love the whole atmosphere of Mexico.

Pirates of the Carribbean in MK

Do anything that looks likes fun except It's a Small World.

Oh, the fear of being stuck on Small World...!

Ohhhh! It all depends on your interests!

I would do it's a small world because I love it! I would also do Teacups b/c it makes me feel like a kid. I am a HUGE Mickey fan so I would go to Toontown to go to the Judge's Tent behind Mickey's house in order to get my picture taken with Mickey and Minnie (that's the only place you can meet them other than charater dining).

I would also recommend Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland - especially if you like video games and /or you are competitive.
