:jumping1:So, fate has decided that my birthday trip in 7 days:bday: is going to be a solo trip (EEEEP!) but I'm looking on the bright side cause hey! it's Disney no matter what and I'll make friends! One of the many positives is being able to go through the single rider lines, which gives me more time to ride things twice! Is there a list of rides in the four parks that have single rider lines? Any tips for solo on the rides? Any help is appreciated.

Test Track
Expedition Everest
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

That's it. Sometimes the single rider line at Rock 'n' Roller Coaster takes longer than the stand-by line.

Thanks guys! I'll have to remember that solo line might not be the best line. Poop! Lol

The single rider line for Expedition Everest worked great for us in 2013. The posted standby time was 45 minutes and my wife and I took turns staying with the kids while the other got in the single rider line. There was either nobody in front of us each time or maybe just a couple people. We got to ride it 3-4 times each in roughly 40 minutes. The lady sitting next to me on my last ride said it was her first ride and she had waited 40 minutes and didn't know they had a single ride liner. It is well marked. It is all the way to right at the ride entrance. I highly recommend using it.

We did find that the single rider for Rock N Roller coaster still took longer than expected because everyone eventually gets dumped into the loading area and back with everyone else waiting. Still when they call out for single riders as you get closer to the front it does help to by pass the last dozen or so people in line.

We didn't do single rider for Test Track because our oldest son (6 at the time) rode with each of us and we used fast passes.

This is not accurate. Every time I have used single rider on RNRC, there is a separate entrance for the pre-show (in back on the balcony), and there is a separate line in the loading area. It is difficult to tell how long you're going to wait as a single rider, because from outside you can't see how many people are waiting. The line does tend to move slow. How long you wait depends on the time of day, crowd level, and how good the CMs are in loading the train. I've sometimes seen CMs send odd-numbered parties to the front, and even-numbered parties to the back. That really cuts down on the number of single riders needed.

Test Track single rider line moves quicker due to the nature of seating 3 across, lots of single riders are needed. Everest is the best single rider line in my experience. It's hidden around the corner, so some people probably don't even know about it. And you can see from outside exactly how many people are in line. There's also more rows on the trains than RNRC, which helps.

Basically, single rider lines will be shorter when the standby lines are shorter. The longer the standby line gets, the more likely a family will agree to split up to save some time. For example, is the standby line is 20-30 minutes, groups aren't likely to use the single rider line (but note at rope drop it's possible that single rider line might not be open right away, in particular the EE single rider line). But once those standby lines get up to 60 minutes, you'll see more groups in the single rider lines, making those lines 30-45 minutes (for TT and RNRC). I've used the EE single rider line many times and never waited more than 20 minutes.

As for other tips, for rides like Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Soarin', TSMM, etc, pay attention to the CMs when you get close to the loading platform. As a single you can sometimes get pulled out of line early to fill in a car or row. And if you see an empty seat, let the CMs know you're a single and willing to take it.

I've done Expedition Everest solo many times since, in the past, it was easier than the regular FastPasses. My advice for this one is to talk to the person you are riding with. "Scope" them out before you board as you will be able to determine if they are with a larger group of odd number of people or just a dad or mom with another adult and child next to them. Then ask if they have ever ridden before and introduce yourself. By that time, your ride will have arrived so go and have fun.

Same thing with Rock N Roller Coaster but the thing with this one (my husband and I do single riders) is that since it and Toy Story Mania are on the same tier, the single riders' line gets crammed with families (like mine) who want to do both on the same day and can't with FastPasses so you could have a family of six who did Toy Story Mania and now want to do Rock N Roller Coaster so all six go into the single riders' line. One of the reasons why this line can get very long.

At Test Track, I've never done the single riders line but we did have a single rider in our row and she just texted the entire time and never said anything. I would advise against that. A simple "hi" is nice enough.
