Hi everyone - it’s been about 7 years since I’ve been to Disney and a lot has happened since then (with my health and with rides In the park!)

I am on warfarin (blood thinner) and it is advised to me not to go on anything with the thick over the head/shoulder style harness that could bounce my head around (or anything that could bang my head around in general) and if anyone had suggestions as to what rides to avoid?

If memory serves most are pretty tame and shouldn’t be an issue. Dinosaur was too rough for me in general so will avoid that - and I can’t remember but I think rockin rollercoaster had them. I’ll prob avoid space mt too even though it’s a lap restraint just because my back couldn’t handle it last time either lol.

I don’t want to waste time or hold up lines just to get up to the ride vehicle and have to bail.

Thank you!

Rock n Roller Coaster does have the restraints that go over the shoulders - definitely avoid that one!
Mission Space is very rough and has over the shoulder restraints as well.

Any roller coaster can really jerk you around if you sit in the back (Big Thunder, Seven Dwarfs, Everest) - not sure how you would do with those!

Millennium Falcon can be a pretty rough ride as well.

Agreed. I did RnR last trip and my body KNEW this was this last ride for me. I felt it alllll day after. Sad because I LOVE that ride. I am able to do most of them but haven't been on Slinky yet.

Even pretty tame rides like Pirates or Pooh can jostle your head. You probably need to have a more specific discussion with your doctor.

All of the attractions with warnings have a red triangle warning icon on the park map and also on the sign at the attraction.
As others posted already, even those ‘tame’ attractions without warnings or shoulder harnesses can jostle you.
The ride warnings are kind of general - Post 23 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread has some further details/explanations of the individual attractions with warnings.

Definitely agree Re: RnR
Normally one of my favorite rides but every so often, maybe one in ten, it rattles my melon something serious.

Thank you all for your help! Yes I’ve been in contact w my drs - I actually ended up having a TIA shortly after i posted this - we leave in 2.5 weeks and I have a bunch of tests that will all be done before we go. Neuro already said they have no restrictions on me and I will double check with INR nurses as I’m now on aspirin in addition to my other blood thinner, but to play it safe I’ll probably avoid most of the rides with warnings despite any reccomendations to only avoid shoulder harnesses (I have a blood clotting disorder, not a heart problem - but I am having my heart checked before we go given recent events just to be safe). Jostle was the probably the wrong word - it’s banging your head that’s a concern and i just want to be cautious. We will probably take it pretty easy this trip after what happened. I was supposed to also be driving down with just my boys but have a friend driving with us as well now. I haven’t been since any of the Star Wars stuff opened (and my boys and I aren’t super familiar) so helpful to know not to stress out about some of those :) And the DAS rep went over guardians with me and said that doesn’t have shoulder and turns but otherwise pretty smooth, but will evaluate further as more people experience it.

Thanks again!
