Rides to avoid with back issues

First trip to Universal. My mother in law has some chronic back issues that prohibit her from riding some rides. Obviously, we'll avoid the Hulk an Rip Ride Rockit. I heard Mummy has a sudden stop, and that is something that she needs to avoid too. We are going to ride forbidden journey prior to her attempting to see if she could ride it.

Any suggestions or input in rides would be greatly appreciated.

The water rides all throw you around some.......Jurassic Park and Dudley Do right both have drops that can jar your back........

Dr Doom although not rough does lift you out of your seat and a fair bit too.......

Spider-Man and Transformers do throw you around too but not as bad as the coasters.........

Yes, Mummy does come to a jarring halt and if you aren’t prepared it could give you a nasty jolt.

Most of the rides that have quick motions have the potential to aggravate a chronic back issue:

Without knowing how severe your MIL's back issues are, I would be cautious. You know her better than us. I would give the following a go yourself first before having her ride:

I was with someone that said they had back issues and were ok riding most stuff on the Universal Side. I do believe she said that Simpson's was a little too rough for her.

I’d follow the signage outside the rides. They’ll alert you to risks.

In 2015 my daughter rode every ride, besides roller coasters, and she was fine. Considering she was only 5 months post op from a spinal fusion, I think your mom will be fine, but you know her best!
