DH and I are going to do a no-kids trip, which means we will actually see the parks after dark!!!

I really want to ride BTMR and the Mine Train after dark, but are there any other rides that get better or change once the sun goes down?

Maybe Jungle Cruise? Test Track?

What do you all think?

I'll second Jungle Cruise after dark, almost felt like a whole new ride. Also we like Dumbo at night and Splash Mountain. Once we got lucky and got to see a few split seconds of Wishes during Splash Mountain.

Add Splash Mtn., Astro Orbitor, WDW Railroad, ATA Peoplemover, Swiss Family Treehouse, Aladdin's Carpets, and Dumbo at MK.

If DAK is open after dark, Exp. Everest is G-R-E-A-T at night.
The "midway" games and rides at Chester and Hester's Dinorama at DAK are actually
much more fun in the dark.

Taking a shuttle boat in the lakes near MK, DHS/Epcot, or DTD at night is beautiful.

I'd have to say that almost every ride is better at night. Nothing like the excitement of all the lights and knowing that you only have a couple of hours left to get everything in. But I guess the OP really is asking what rides are enhanced by night. My vote is BTMRR, Astro Orbiter (nice being up high and seeing the park lit up), Jungle Cruise is much better at night than in the day, and Tower of Terror is pretty cool when the doors open to the outside and you can see the park and area lit up.

I agree with BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, and Splash. We love watching Wishes on either BTMRR or Splash- it is our must-do each trip!

TOT is also worth it. Not only can you see the park lit up at night, which is very cool, but I believe the drop sequence is a little more intense at night.

I agree with all of these. I'll ONLY ride Jungle Cruise at night now, it's that much better. Just love the atmosphere.

And Splash, absolutely.

I definitely agree with the OP that BTMRR and 7DMT are best at night, especially BTMRR because it always feels like the ride is going much faster at night, however our favorite ride at night is Jungle Cruise. Not sure why, but it is just so different riding it when you really can't see where you are going. Others that we really like to ride at night is TTA, Splash Mountain, HM (it's not like it is a different experience but it looks really cool at night walking into it). Now, our kids will add to the list Astro Orbitor because you can see all of the pretty lights around MK and you can see the Contemporary from up there. Another ride that is not in MK, and if you can go during evening magic hours where the park is lit up at night would be EE, we were able to do this once and it was awesome.

Tomorrowland Speedway is great after dark! It is cooler, less busy, and more picturesque than during the day.

I also vote for others that have already been mentioned:
BTMRR
Dumbo
Splash
Haunted Mansion
TTA
Astro Orbiter
Jungle Cruise
Aladdin Magic Carpets

As for other parks:
Test Track
Tower of Terror
Expedition: Everest
Living w/the Land
Primeval Whirl
Triceratops Spin

We have ridden both Aladdins Carpets and 7DMT during Wishes/Hallowishes. 7DMT was spectacular this way and the Carpets gave a great view!

Totally agree with 7DMT, BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, People Mover and Haunted Mansion. Wanted to add the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House at sunset, such beautiful view of the skies and the park during that time and you can stop and enjoy the views in a couple of areas. Also love the 7DMT queque at night, love the colored water area.

The best one I remember was test track at night, soon As the car come out the doors outside all the fireworks started going off was pretty cool

It was daytime when I qued up for the mine train by time I got on it it was dark lol ride broke down and que was ridiculous, I tried it in the daytime wasn't as good

Took the words right out of my brain. This is exactly what our touring plan is: ride at night! Plus, we're not big fans of the crowds during Wishes, so we don't mind missing the show in order to ride the rides at night without lines. It makes for a pretty special experience to see the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle from your log on Splash Mountain.

I also believe Test Track is better after dark, too. We did it during EMH this year, and the standby line was minimal (less than 20 minutes if memory serves). I wouldn't waste time on waiting in a standby line for TT during the day, though.
