I'm back on the boards just in time for an update - woohoo!

Wow that is a big crowd! I hate the TSMM mad dash but it is the only way to ride it at a decent time and/or twice in one day. Thought the enforcement of the FP rules now will make it harder to be flexible on a DHS day.

so glad you met up with Jen and Stitch and that Jen rode TOT! sounds like a great start to your DHS day!

two weeks of writing the update and it doesnt even span through lunch.

i guess you can blame it on jen for not sending the rope pic of you on time...yeah thats it go with that one.

the sides are always the best to move up at rope drop.

i remember one year i went though all the stores on the right hand side and made it to therope while hte line was back to the entrance down the main street.

Jonathan is right in front of the guy who is holding the large camera a little ways back in the crowd. Can you spot Jen and Stitch up front?

Yep-er, I see Jen and Stitch. But I have to say that I really like the photography style of that guy to the right of Jonathan. O-kaaaay.

But still, it isn’t like I could carry her through the doors, put her in her seat and make her ride. This was going to be totally on Jen.

True. But did you tell her that we had a Disboards poll and the vote was very very close?

The time to back out had come and gone and we all loaded.......Jen was going to do this after all!!! I know what happens on the ride is fairly random, and this was one of the more fun ones I could remember! I heard a lot of squeals and laughter coming from my right, where Jen and Stitch were seated.

Congrats Jen! So did she like it, or just tolerate it?

So naturally, where do you go next while feeling such a successful ride high??? Well of course it has to be RnR!!! All the way there we kept telling Jen if she made it through ToT, she could easily now conquer RnR. Jen was pretty adamant that ToT was one thing......RnR was a completely different story.

Oh that's a shame. I think RnRC is a much better ride than ToT. It's one of my fave's. The only thing wrong with it is that it's too short.

I'll be attempting Rope Drop at DHS in July, so this could be the same kind of crowd levels I'll face! Holy mad crush Batman!

So I guess I need to split the family up--one person to take the kids on the left side to sign up for Jedi Training Academy, and the other on the right side to hit the TSM Fastpass line. This could be tricky.

Anyway, good job navigating the crowds, and good job Jen braving ToT! I'm with her...once was enough.

I just can't imagine the anxiety attack this would give me.

Reading your post is making me excited for our TSM run coming up September!

Hi Marv! I think we are all busy and having trouble keeping up. Congrats on making it to the front of Rope Drop! Looks like you have trained your boys on GATW processes!

You guys are pretty awesome to think of Jen and Stitch and get the FP for them. I'm wondering if with ST open now, some of the crowd will go that direction, and RD won't be so crazy.

I can't believe I missed the ToT update !! These Dang Free Trips keep me sooooo busy !! Anywho really glad Jen did ToT , better her than me !!Carol is mystyfied as to why I have no trouble flying or going on a very choppy boat ride

Hmmm, so you're saying it wouldn't qualify for Tumble Monkey material, huh???

Those can be so hard to get - even harder if you are short like me.

Looks like a fun morning out! My plans for DHS are almost the that exact same thing every time.
I will say I do prefer ToT just a smidge over RnR. The randomness and the group you are with makes ToT different almost every time.

I have had some really good ToT rides, and some not so much........ the group you are with on the ride definitely adds to the ToT experience!

I have heard some rumors they are experimenting with some new ways to cut down on the severity of the TSMM dash. I am thinking the new FP rule enforcement is going to change how I tour in the future for sure.

Ah yes, the stores can be critical for getting to the front of the line at times!!!

Rope drop is very important, especially when touring during the hottest parts of the year!!!

Thanks Amy! It really helps to have the young and the quick to make those FP runs for you! I'm hearing they are trying to ease those impact of the TSM morning run on everyone........ Maybe it won't be so tough come September!
