Rides Re-Opening After Refurb...

I'm headed to DL next week...two of my fave rides (IASW & Pirates) are currently down and set to re-open on Thurs 5/22 (the day AFTER I leave DL)...what's the chance that these rides might ACTUALLY re-open or soft-open next week before their OFFICIAL re-open day???...I'm hope IASW opens before the 22nd so I can ride it for its 50th anniversary before leaving DL...what do you guys think? Thanks!!!

I was there last week and both Indiana Jones and Little Mermaid opened a day earlier than expected. But then Little Mermaid went down again almost an hour after their soft opening and I don't know if they reopened because we were leaving when we saw they closed it.

I don't think you can count on them opening early, and you shouldn't expect them to open early, but I do think it happens so you can have at least have some hope and walk by occasionally to check things out.

I agree with Casey's Mommie. There is a chance that rides will open early after a rehab, but it won't be announced and it might only be for part of the day or at random times. I would not count on rides opening early, but if you're in the area, it's probably worth checking it out to see if it's open when you walk by. Best case is the ride is open and you get to ride it, worse case is that it's still closed and you don't. There doesn't really seem to be a downside to stopping by once and a while, but just don't get your hopes up and/or expect the ride to open early.

IASW has been closed all year, except for the brief period in early april. I wouldnt be suprised if they started testing it out the day before it reopens. You can never count of those things though, and they are usually right place/right time kind of things
