Rides open during HHN

Hi, I just got off the HHN website, and on the FAQ, the question was asked if rides were open during HHN, and the response was "select" rides were open. Can anyone tell me which the select rides were? Specifically, was the new coaster open?

We are only going to be at US/IOA one day, and I'm trying to figure out whether to buy a 2 park one day pass & HHN ticket, or if I can just get a one day (IOA) ticket, and then we can ride US rides during HHN.

Thanks for the info!

Last year, the rides were Jaws, The Mummy, MIB and The Simpsons.

Personnally, I'd go with the 2 park/one day pass. Be at IOA first thing in the morning when they open. Head over to Universal around noon to do the rides there. When Universal closes, wait in the Stay and Scream holding area adjacent to Finnegan's. That way, you'll be able to focus on the haunted houses, scare zones and shows (Bill & Ted's, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc.) during HHN.

The people in the Universal Stay and Scream are released into the park for HHN prior to the opening of the front gate and the IOA's HHN waiting area, so you should be able to see 2, 3 or 4 houses before the outside group catches up.

No...the HR3 was not open this year for HHN. If you don't have a ticket to HHN, you will not be allowed to stay in the park for HHN.

Thanks guys!! I guess I'll get the two-park one day, so we can ride the new coaster, AND go to the new Harry Potter park before we go to HHN. Sounds like the Stay and Scream is a good deal too...anything to beat the crowds!! Metro...didn't mean for it to sound like I was trying to stay with a regular park ticket once HHN started....of course we are going to get HHN tickets! I just wanted to see if we could ride the new roller coaster when we go to HHN. This is a surprise "last hurrah" for my son who will be a senior next year. :goodvibes Not going to even tell him until the day we leave. Can't wait!!

That's definately the way to go. We'll have to wait and see what they do this year with the Rockit. The reason it wasn't running this past year was because no nets were up to catch anything that might fly or fall off riders. If they don't put a net up, I doubt it will be open.

Nets are up now. Hopefully by HHN the coaster will be running to ease the crowds. Instead of a 3hr wait for a house, it can be a 3hr wait for the coaster. :scared1:
