Rides most often offline at RD?

Are there rides that often aren't working at rope drop - ones that frequently have trouble "waking up" in the morning? I'm thinking mostly about Magic Kingdom, but I'm curious to hear about any.

There is no rhyme or reason to what doesn't work first thing.

At MK...have found on several occasions that Pirates of the Caribbean or Space Mountain are having technical problems first thing. Have also had Splash Mountain down once or twice in the morning.

EP...Test Track, pretty often. Frozen Ever After occasionally. Got stuck on Mission Space once for 20 claustrophobic minutes which was pretty terrible!

HS...Tower of Terror goes down regularly. Last trip, ToT and Rock n Rollercoaster were down for the whole morning.

AK...Sadly, Flight of Passage has had a lot of technical problems early.

Everest broke (twice!) while we were on it during EMH hours in January. Scariest moment of my life getting stuck at the part where it holds you at the top before going backwards. Had no idea if anyone knew we were stuck up there, and the backing soundtrack was playing so it kept sounding like other trains were coming up the mountain.

We planned at RD to hit BTM but checking the app at opening showed it was down so we shifted to Pirates and splash. By the time we hit those rides BTM was open. I don't think there really any pattern to what might go down or not open right at RD. Just have the app open and refresh as it will help you know before you waste time going to the ride.

Great tip - thanks! So MDE updates that pretty quickly/reliably? Like, when the welcome show ends, I could theoretically see what's offline?

I'm tense just imagining this.

Quick and reliable might not be the most accurate description of MDE but i think it is your best bet. I have used it at other times when I have had a FP but the ride was down. I kept checking the app to figure out when it re-opens. RD at MK can be great if you are avoiding the big headliners (PPF MT)We felt like we were the only ones in adventure land - seems fewer people head in that direction.

For future peace of mind, roller coasters are built in a way that every train is tracked at all times and also in a way that they each have their own ‘space’ on the track with a braking system between. Just as you were stopped where you were all other trains were also stopped or at the main departure area.

Haha - touche.

Yeah, we're RDing Splash or POTC for this very reason. I think being in the PPF crowd might be an unpleasantish start to the day.

I'll sleep better now. ....Unless this is like that time a boa constrictor was loose in my husband's (then boyfriend's) house and he reassured me "Don't worry - snakes can't climb stairs".... and I believed him because I wanted to.

And then I found a boa constrictor behind the third floor toilet.

Which is all to say: I'll believe you because that sounds nicer :-)

Surprisingly we did that one RD going the liberty square route and were on and off the ride by 9:15. There was certainly a rush coming from the opposite directions - so if considering PPF at RD go the liberty sq bridge -- again virtually no one going that path - but after we got off we said never again -- that ride is somewhat neat but way too short for the lines is draws.

Not exactly the same thing but the Safari at AK does not open until so long after sunrise even though it is AM EMH attraction. We found this out during a winter EMH that opened at 7. We walked all the way there just to learn that it was going to be like 40 minuets before it opened.

Last year, I was stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean for over 45 minutes during EMH. It was awful and wasted nearly half of our extra time in the parks!
