I have a 18 month old, and wondering what rides would be suitable, I mean can they go on the Dumbo ride, the carousel, etc.

Or am I just looking at Small World, not even sure what other ones there are for her. I know there is a height limit but is there an age limit too.

Thanks.

hi im in the same shoes as u my little girl will be 18 months as well when we go - i think peter pan is fine im not sure lol

There is no age limit on any ride and it is only the bigger thrill rides that have a height restriction so your toddler can go on anything.

Small World,Dumbo,Teacups, Steam Train,Pinocchio,Storybook Ride,Flying Carpets,Buzz Lightyear are all good ones

The Snow White ,Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean are dark rides but if they have no fear of dark they will be ok on these rides too :thumbsup2

Orbitron is faster - it scares me. Give me TOT any day over Orbitron

what is orbitron and TOT>

See with the Flying carpet ride, do you not sit in seperate seats as in 1 in front of the other.

I guess I will have to see what is what. Oh on the carousel are their little carriages as well as the horses.

Would be nice to go on as a family, we have a 4 year old too.

Sorry Orbitron is like Dumbo but is rockets in Discoveryland. However it goes much faster and tilts. I dont like it at all.TOT is Tower of Terror in the studios and is definitely not suitable for a toddler/baby - I was just saying I would prefer to do that than Orbitron. :rotfl:

There are carriages on the carrousel

oh yes, know that TOT would be no good, can not wait to go and that as it was not finished when we went last year.

Orbitron, yes remember that my 3 year old liked it.

Hi

I'm just doing my trip reports on the Trip pages (only done day 1 & 2 so far) but we went with my DD1 (3.5 years) and my DD2 (5 months) so it may give you an idea of what rides are suitable?

We did do Snow White & Pinnochio but I was dubious as I had been warned they are v dark and they are - they focus more on the scarey sides of the stories I think tbh. Didn't take DD2 but took DD1 on them - she was OK but scared in places (she is going thru a phase though!).

She loved IASW, Peter Pan, the teacups in Fantasyland - wasn't that bothered by the Carousel (too slow lol) or Dumbo - huge queues. She preferred Orbitron lol!

We also took her on Star Tours (I didn't want to but DH said she'd be fine) it's basically like a Star Wars starship and you have a screen in front of you with meteorites etc coming at you - not the best idea DH has had and DD1 clung to me the whole time - bless her!

She still says IASW was her best ride! :lovestruc

In the Studios she liked the Stitch interaction thing and Animagique as well as the Flying Carpets - they are really not that bad and you can sit next to her with one of you behind... Oh and also Cars is great too.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks PJ

When My DD1 was 3 I took her on the Pirates of the Caribean, and was not too bad, she told me to be brave and held my hand.

She did the haunted house thing twice, once with her dad and once with me. She also liked Peter Pan.

It will be nice for us as parents to go on a ride with both of them rather than 1 wait outside, will be better when they are both older. Also then I guess we get to do other stuff like cinema etc.

I don't like Orbitron - it feels like you're going to fall out and feels like the straps are completely inadequate for a small child. I'm sure they're not, of course, I'm just saying that it feels that way :)

I also found my daughter was scared of Pinnochio and the flying carpets, and after that wouldn't even entertain the thought of going on Dumbo! She loved all the boat type rides, the Carousel, and the teacups though.

The stitch live show can be fun, but I had to take our daughter out because she completely freaked out. Our 4 Y/O loved it though :thumbsup2

I am a meanie and I would take a kid of any age on every ride they can go on as long as there are no restrictions, I would have happily taken my cousins 17 month old on peter pan, snow white, dumbo, buzz light year, phantom manor, pirates of the caribean, but she wouldnt let me, only *** she couldnt be bothered getting her out of the pushchair, then she moaned there wasnt alot for her dd to do there!

see my little girl she is def a wild child she would love all the rides with out the height limits on as shes a bit of a tom boy (thanks to her uncles) so if daddys going on a ride ...she wants to go on a ride as well , good to know there are alot fo rides for little ones not just like a couple of merry go rounds :)
