That is just good business- to accommodate your customer's needs. If people are larger now does it make any sence to keep the rides the same size? Have you ever looked at the WW1 nd WW2 uniforms? If not check out the 'average' size of people 60 years ago. 'Average' sized people not could not even possibly fit their legs into one of their uniforms, they are so small by todays standards.
