 Hi everyone! I am new to the boards and very excited to be planning our trip for June. My question is regarding what rides we will be able to take our almost 1 year old on. We also have a 5 and 8 year old. I read in a guide book that if there are no height restrictions, you can take a baby on that ride. Is this generally the case? Are there rides that you would suggest not taking a baby on even if they are technically able to be on the ride? Thanks for the help!

Babies can go on everything that doesn't have a hight restriction. We took our baby when she was 6 months and again when she was 14 months. She went on the HM, PoC, most of the rides in Fairyland, Nemo Subs, Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise and all of the rides in Bug's Land in DCA.

The only rides I wouldn't take a young baby on are Teacups and Roger Rabbit in Toontown. Both are too spinny.

Yep - as long as there's no restriction you can take them on. Our kids were on most everything (unrestricted, of course) when they were babies. The added beauty at that stage, is the HM and POTC didn't scare them...that didn't happen til they were like 2.

I agree! We took DS when he was 9 mo and again at 18 months and he went on all the mentioned rides. He loved it both times!

I wouldn't suggest taking really young kids on:
-Mr. Toad
-Snow White
-Pinocchio
-Roger Rabbit
-It's Tough to be a Bug/Honey I Shrunk the Audience (3D movies)

Because they are very dark and scary.

I took my 1 year old and went on all the rides he was able to go on other then the tea cups and he loved them all....... and wasn't scared... i think next time when we go we might have to be more careful cause he will be 3 but i don't think he will scare easy maybe just HM we will stay away from... But i will probley take all the new baby on all the rides just like we took michael

Thank you all so much for your replies! I'm sure I'll have more questions as we plan our trip! It's been 13 years since I've been and that was without kids.

We just returned with our 14 month old and she LOVED all the rides without restrictions! A few of them were a little more scary (like Snow White and Mr. Toad), but she was fine with it, she just snuggled closer to me to peak at what was going on and not be surprised by it. I also had her in the Ergo for a lot of those rides, so she could snuggle more easily, but I think she's still a little young to really be afraid of rides (Mickey & Goofy were another story! ;)), so I would think your child should be okay. Have a fun trip!!
