Hello again. I believe, I believe! Thank you to all you Disney experts from a first-timer.

Traveling for a surprise Thanksgiving trip with my 6 & 9 yo. They both love rides. Which are the best at Magic Kingdom? We will not be doing water parks due to limited time at Disney and I want to maximize other Disney experiences, ie, characters and their favorite stories. BTY, parents like rides also.

Also, we will be at park on Thanksgiving Day? Are there any special events planned? Since we come from New England we might feel a little lost not seeing pilgrims, turkeys, etc.

I wouldn't mind a picture of myself with a prince. Any advice how to see those male characters?

Well hi there and welcome to the DIS boards. You will find a huge amount of terrific info here as well as some pretty terrific people!!!

As one New Englander to another...I'm not so sure you'll be finding any Pilgrims or turkeys in WDW. But, I could be wrong. We'll be there at the same time.

Magic Kingdom will be extremely crowded on T-Day itself. We plan on staying away from MK all together until Sunday!!! But we've been many times so that's not a big deal for us. As far as which rides are the best for your kids...it all depends on how adventurous they are. My dd has been riding all the rides for awhile now and she's almost 11. It took her awhile to do ToT and after doing it several times refuses to do it again. But I'm with her on that one!!! She loves BTMRR, M:S, RnRC, Space Mt., even Splash Mt. There are height restrictions so that could figure into it. Have you gotten a guide book and read it at all? I would get one and see what exactly your options are. As far as characters go....I've only seen the Prince at Cinderella's Royal Table character breakfast, in the lobby of the Castle. If you haven't made any priority seatings at this point, it could be too late but you could give it a try. Those T-day meals are hard to come by at this point. Any other questions, ask away. Most of us here love talking about WDW!!! Was just down your way over the week-end....love Cape Cod!!!
