Rides/attractions you could do without

Ok here we go:

MK: Tiki Room, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Speedway

EPCOT: Living With The Land, Journey Into Your Imagination, the Mexico boat ride, and ALL of the circle vision movies

MGM: Animation Tour and Sounds Dangerous

AK: Even though I haven't quite experienced it yet, I HATE the carnival section they put in the park!

Does anyone go on the Drew Carey 'show'? Does Disney/ ABC still owe him somthing? Or they are not sure what to do with the space?

Yeah...that needs to go...haha!! Luckily, when I was there in June it was closed for Star Wars weekends, so I got to go there to meet Jedi Mickey! :woohoo:

I can do without the jerky simulator rides (Star Tours, and Body Wars when they had that). I always come out with a massive headache after being jerked around. Space Mountain may be a jerky coaster, but it never gives me that headache that the simulator rides do.

And I've seen it 4 or 5 times, and just don't feel a need to ever see it again ... the Hall of Presidents.

Living with the Land in Epcot, Figment's Imagination, Tiki room (sorry, I almost feel bad for replying) but those are rides I will be skipping. Oh and boat ride in Mexico and Norway, and riding in the big ball thing at Epcot (went blank on the name of it). Oh and Country Bear Jamboree - once was enough. Sorry again is that un-Disney? I hope not! :confused3

LOL...So funny how different folks love different things, because you just listd my absolute favorite attractions. I, for one, hope they're all there for a long time. :thumbsup2

I like the drew carey show (any chance I have to sit down @ end of day works for me), could use spiffing up though, theater looking worn @ the edges.

Really dislike the show @ am. theater in Epcot (too much sanitized retelling of our co. history for me) but, like the President's show in MK (patriotic).

Narnia walk through was a waste of an hour, including the line.

older I get, more I tend to cross off the spinning rides & due to cervical issues, can't ride Dinosaur sad, liked the theming.

special mention outside of WDW for worst/jerky ride is: the Mummy.

LOL... I know... they're naming off all of my favorites!
(thanks for making the lines shorter! ;) )

It's funny- there are some things I don't do every time I go to Disney, but would hate to see them go because they are very "Disney" to me.

Like the Swiss Family Treehouse. We don't do it every time, but it's one of the few throwbacks to old live action Disney and I'd be sad to see it go.

The Hall of Presidents- haven't been to this in years either, but it's always been there!

Same with Tom Sawyer Island, the Riverboat, Dumbo, the Carousel and the Teacups.

We'll probably do these when we go in September and are staying for longer than usual. :)

Stitch should definitely go. I vote for that one to go first.

The Aladdin ride could go. It seems like an awkward filler for Adventureland and is exactly the same as the Dumbo ride.

Whoever mentioned the Power Rangers- yes! When did they become Disney anyway??

I can take or leave Star Tours. Wouldn't be upset to see that one disappear either.

I agree that the Tomorrowland Speedway should go. The line moves slow and it's a typical amusementpark ride with no real theme. What's so futuristic about it anyway?? I don't think it's crowded because it's a "good ride." I think it's crowded because every little kid likes the idea of driving their own car, and it takes long enough that the line just creeps along. If Disney had bumper cars I'm sure they'd have a slow moving long line full of kids too, but that doesn't mean Disney should put in bumper cars

I could definitely do without Stitch's Great Escape (even though I like Stitch)!

MK: Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Tom Sawyer Island, Country Bear Jamboree

EPCOT: Body Wars (I love many of the other ones that people didn't like, esp. Spaceship Earth, Figment and Soarin, so shorter lines for me :goodvibes )

MGM: Can't really think of anything. We've never done the Drew Carey thing, so I can't comment on that.

AK: Primevil Whirl (I love thrill rides, but this one is a puker :sad2: )

For outside Disney, I could do without Twister at Universal. When you've lived in Twister country...need I say more.

Why do so many seem to dislike Stitch? Did you like it when it was Alien Encounter? I loved AE when I first went on it...probably me and my brothers fav ride! I still have my Skippy stuffed animal! I just went on it updated with Stitch this June and thought it was cute! It's smart for Disney to make the rides around their popular characters that everyone relates too and the ride is kid-friendly now. I liked it and thought it was just like the beginning of the movie!

I agree with the Speedway, also I rarely do Country Bears because it's just not my thing. And you can't get me near Carousel of Progress when it's open. Winnie the Pooh & The Tea Cups. I want Mr. Toad back!

In Epcot I haven't been on Ellen's Energy Adventure in years, The wait is forever & it's sadly dated. I always passed on the Wonders of Life Pavilion and before Soarin I would skip The Land Pavilion also. Mission Space is been there, done that, don't need to do it again. And I've only been in China Pavilion once. Honey I shrunk the Audience creeps me out.

MGM - Little Mermaid, Back Lot Tour without a back lot, Lights Action, etc. They really need to do something with the whole back half of that park.

AK - Won't do Tough to be a Bug due to the creep out factor like Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Flights of Wonder totally bores me as does the Pocahantas show. Dinosaur because it always reminds me of how much I wish we could have the Indiana Jones ride which is so much better than Dinosaur. And the Games in Dinorama are a total turn off.

Magic Kingdom:
Astro Orbiter
Country Bears
"it's a small world"

Epcot:
Wonders of Life
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience

MGM:
Lights, Motors, Action!
Indiana Jones

Animal Kingdom:
TriceraTop Spin

I can do without the following:

In MK: Stitch - I hate it :furious: and detested Alien Encounter!

In MGM: Sounds Dangerous -unless you need a quick nap- and then it is THE place to be!

AK: Kail River Rapids - I just think it is poorly done, not really exciting and a waste of my time.

Epcot: Rude people, but I love everything else, well the preshow in Energy could be a bit shorter.

The only ride that I will not go on again in is Stitch's Great Escape in the Magic Kingdom.
I pretty much love everything else! :goodvibes

I am so surprised to hear so many country bears on the skip it list. That and some it's small world are Quintessential Disney! Iwish the would bring CBJ back to DL!

The speedway is terrible and doesn't fit into Tomorrow land..you are right.

A think Stitch's great escape is an abomination!

AND FIGMENT ROCKS!!!!

BLASPHEMOUS!!!!!!! :smooth: You don't even know the name of spaceship earth. Your wdw card has been revoked! ;) And living with the land gone? cmon' now! :sad2:

Is there a clear division on what rides to go compared to age of person posting? I know tht the number of postings a person has does not matter but it seems that the newer disers or at least the disers with fewer posts seem to agree on dumping the Disney attractions that I grew up with and I am closer to 50 then forty now.

Just wondering if anybody else seems to notice this trend.???

OK I just pulled on my asbestos undies flame throwers on :teeth:

Wow! I am surprised many people want to see speedway gone. On the other hand, I have not been on that ride since I was 8 and my mother forced us to wait in long lines the last week in August.

I will miss it if it ever goes..

I concur and I am in my 20's. Sure, some might not like It's a small world, and country bear jamboree might not be "your thing," but they are wdw at it's core. Spaceship earth is Epcot's flagship ride. It's like tearing down the castle. That being said, here's the attractions I think wdw can do without, and I believe stand a better chance of being updated or replaced.

MK - Indy Speedway

MGM - Sounds Dangerous, Indiana Jones (update or put in disneyland ride), Lights motors action, power rangers (I too, think they don't belong but the kids lovem)

Epcot - Ellens energy adventure (just an update cause I still like this attraction), Honey I shrunk the audience!

AK - Maybe Kali River (not a great ride but it gets you wet. I guess that's the purpose)

OK I'm 25 and have been to Disneyworld about 14 different times over the years. I am sentimental and love the traditional rides, but what I can do without and not feel bad

MK: Stich (I loved AE), Speedway (but it was a favorite when I was younger), Aladdin, Winnie The Pooh (I miss Mr. Toad)

Epcot: Bodytours

MGM: The Little Mermaid, Drew Carey (I just rode the Indy ride and DisneyLand two weeks ago and it needs to make the move to MGM)

AK: Tough to be a bug
