We are going down to WDW is Sept and need info on what rides and shows would be good for a 2yo. We want to be prepared and start making a list of things DS would enjoy.

Thanks!

We have taken our kids on most of the rides in Fantasyland. There is Dumbo, Peter Pan, Cinderella's Carrousel, It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh. We have taken our kids on Alladin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Snow White as well.

If your child is easily scared, then I wouldn't take on some of my latter choices, but, my kids, which are 2/5/8, have all made it through without crying!

Have fun!

I think every child is different in what they will enjoy, be afraid of etc. My son who was 17 monthes last year loved everything we rode. He got excited and hollered and laughed at everything. He will be celebrating his second birthday there this year. I can't wait!
The things he liked best though was things he recognized like Pooh so the pooh ride was great for him. We watched the Playhouse Disney show 3 times because he loved it so much because those were characters he recognized from tv. As well as seeing JoJo and Goliath characters.
Now I have heard of some small children being afraid of the witch in the Snow White adventure or the dragon in Fantasmic, etc.
The web site allearsnet.com has lots of informations from ride descriptions and height requirements to tips and advice.

MK-Carousel, Small World, Dumbo, Magic Carpets, Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise, TTA, Carousel of progress, Tiki room, Tom Sawyer's island. (I'd avoid Stritch-I've not done it, but from what I understand, it can be fringhtning).

Epcot--the garden ride in the Land (I can't remember what it is called), Journey into Imagination, Spaceship earth, the ride in Mexico, do all the kid stops at the counties

MGM--Playhouse disney, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour, Muppet Vision 3-D, Honey I shrunk the kids play area.

Animal Kingdon (I haven't spent a lot of time here so I can't offer many suggestions)--Lion King (GREAT!!), Safari, dinosour playground, It's tough to be a bug (this can get intense).

Remember on the big rides you can do kid swap. Someone stays with the child while the other person rides and then switch. It is a great feature.

The Tiki Birds at Magic Kingdom is also good, as is the Crush show at Epcot.

Here is a list of what mine enjoyed at that age. Attractions marked with an '*' are favorites

MK:
Dumbo *
Small World
Peter Pan
Tea Cups *
Mickey's Philharmagic *
Buzz Lightyear *
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Alladin's Magic Carpets *
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Carribbean
Parade *
Wishes Fireworks (my older kids liked it but my little one was afraid of the noise)
Haunted Mansion (might be scary, depending on your child)
Snow White (again, might be scary but mine loved it at that age) *

EPCOT:
Living Seas (especially Turtle Talk with Crush) *
Journey into your Imagination *
Spaceship Earth *
Living with the Land (my kids found this boring)
El Rio Del Tiempo *
Maelstrom (might be scary)
Ellen's Energy Adventure (my kids found this boring)
Chinese acrobats
Fountain outside of Mexico (bring swimsuits!)
American Adventure
Illuminations (again, my little one was afraid of the noise)

My kids didn't care for the movies in World showcase, but surprisingly they did enjoy looking around the shops. Especially in Mexico and China (they have a toy shop that my kids love!)

They also have kidcot stations where you kids can decorate a mask in each country, but we've not yet done this (maybe this year!)

AK: (I love this park, but it is not a favorite of my kids)
Safari
Triceratops spin *
Games in Dinoland
Lion King show *
Pocohontas show

MGM:
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast * (my DD loved this so much she cried when it ended)
Playhouse Disney

There are probably more, but the ones I listed are the ones my children particularly enjoy.
Fantasmic! *
