According to the latest t.v. news report......the fire chief was talking to the reporter, saying by the time they were on the scene, the ride was already being evacuated and under control. All they had to do was ask people if they were ok, etc., which they were. The reporter interviewed a couple people who had been stuck. One woman said it "was really kind of neat, except she (pointing to woman beside her) had to 'go to the bathroom' " Someone else was unhappy because all they got for their trouble was a fast pass for any ride in Is. of Adv., and it was already park closing time, so couldn't use it. Of course, then the reported had to go into the ride only being open for 5 weeks and "plagued" with shut downs. One person being interviewed said "It's a new ride, hope they get the bugs out soon."
We've ridden FJ several times since it opened, and only been stuck once...first scene after beginning to "fly". It went dark, the screen went blank, then emergency lighting came on briefly before it restarted.....blanked out next scene, then soundtrack was a bit warbly the rest of the way. What did we do when it stopped? We immediately began peering around the seats to see what "extras" we could see! Unfortunately, being in that tilted back position longer than normal must've caused car keys to fall out of pocket and into seat unnoticed. Luckily, checked when in gift shop below, went quickly back up the steps and the team member handed me keys that had been found by next rider.
