How does Rider switch work at Universal and Islands of Adventure? We will be travel with a 10 month old and also another child who wont quite reach the requirement for all of the rides. We will be staying at Portofino, so we'll be using our express pass when available. How would this work for rides such as MIB,Escape from Gringotts,Transformers, Forbbidden Journey,Jurassic Park,Spiderman, High in the sky trolley train ride? Also lets say there is a group of 8 of us... and 1 person stays out with the baby. How many can go back onto the ride with the person who sat out?? How does that work? Thanks so much, the more detail on what to do the better!

do a thread search to help you with that.
many give their experiences on how they love the child swap program and they way it worked for them.

i'm not seeming to find exactly what i'm looking for in the threads i've found. maybe i'm not searching it correctly? from what i've gathered you tell the attendance at the front of the line that you'll need the riders switch... EVERYONE in the party needs to go through the line. Once you reach the attraction everyone except the one sitting out with the child gets on. then the child and person waiting go into some sort of waiting room. Then once the riders get off the swap out with the person waiting in the room??? Can anyone say if this is accurate? My question then is, how many people can go back on the ride with the person who sat out? Can everyone ride except the second person waiting out with the child? If that is not the case then we'd be better off splitting the party so the second "group" to ride wont have to be by themselves... Thanks for any and all responses

We have been twice with 8 people in the party and everyone gotta reride except the person swapping, obviously. Not saying that's the rule but that's how it worked for us. USO really does have a great child swap policy.

No one has to stay out of the line with the too-little person. At Universal everyone gets to go through the line, and they have a room to wait in that you go to just before the seating area for the ride. Since we've never used it I don't now how many can reride.

Everyone gets into line together. The non riding children and the parent staying with them wait in the child swap room .When the others return you switch. There were only 3 of us in our group so I am not sure how many they will let re-ride

I don't know what official policy at US Orlando is but we switched out only one person (me) wanted to ride forbidden Journey twice (everyone else was dizzy). At US Hollywood last week and I happened to read the rider switch pass they hand out and it says you can take one other person with you when the person who waited out with the kids goes to ride.

When we went last week, no one seemed to be paying much attention to who was coming and going from the rider swap area. On a few rides, my husband rode with my son, then I rode with my son, then my husband and I rode together (my son (14) waited with our daughter). No one asked for a pass or questioned who was riding with who.

i haven't heard of any restrictions on reriding when using the family swap room.
or any restrictions of how many can do the re ride.

i have seen adults besides kids sit a ride out and waited in the family.
then the family reroad with the waiting child.

same adult sat out again and waited for family.
