Rider Switch during Extra Magic Hours ??

We have been able to get a rider swap pass when my older son did not want to ride (Space Mountian, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror).

We have not been able to get a rider swap pass during EMH. However, on Expedition Everest, the people behind us got one from the second CM in the line (after being refused by the first) as their kids left the queue just before boarding. I was mildly tiffed at the inconsistency, but I'm mostly used to that by now.

Sounds like they did an internal swap. Did you ask if you could swap that way?

Sadly, this is far from the "only" thing.

(Telling guests that the resort-to-park buses start running "an hour before the park opens"
is another golden oldie.)

Doesn't the site also say the RS pass allows for 2 riders on the pass when in actuality it is 3?

No, it wasn't important. My husband had a FP for it later, and it wasn't really important to him to ride twice, especially since he'd have to ride alone. When I say "mildly tiffed," emphasize the mildly. I don't like inconsistency, but I usually let the little things go and just enjoy my vacation, especially when the kids are unaffected by something.
