Why am I so annoying with all of my posts about Rider Swap!?!?! (I suppose because I have 2 kids with one being tiny and you are all so knowledgeable.)

How does swap work when you don't use a FP for a popular ride? Where does the swapped adult and companion get into the ride using the swap pass?

I want to do Soarin' during Extra Magic Hours instead of using up a FP reservation since I'll try to FP Frozen. Our littlest can't ride, but I think this is one both adults should experience. So great, we try to walk on by getting in early. We get the swap pass along the way. What line do the 2nd adult and big kid use when we return to use said Swap- Fast Pass or Standby?

(Thank you to folks that answered my other question about FP plus swap. I get that combo now- phew.)

The returning group uses the FP line. If they had to use the Standby line that would defeat the purpose of the swap.

Yep, the rider swap ticket is essentially a paper fastpass that is good for up to 3 people.

And you do not need to use it right away! It is typically good until the end of the month.

I know it was like this in November 2014, is it still until the end of the month now? We are going in August and will be using rider swap for our youngest.

Yes! I knew that you didn't have to use it right away, which is why it was so important for me to know if we'd be waiting around in a standby line just to use a swap if we took advantage of it later! If we were going ot have to deal with a long queue, we'd use it right away, but if I can hold on to it for the FP lane and hit other rides in those early hours, that is such a better strategy!

THANKS! (Are you in southern, central or northern Maine? I'm near Sebago!)

Unless they have changed something in the last month, the rider swap tickets are still the same. We were there the end of May/first of June and all of ours said they expired on June 30.

I think one problem with your plan is you said extra magic hours...there is no fast pass line and in that same light...they don't issue rider swap during that time either....

some times they do rider swap during EMH so you will have to ask also they will some times do it even if the line is short they do this because the line can go form 10 minutes to 45 while you are in the 10 minute line and ride the ride this would be unfair

Near Brunswick! Funny, I hadn't noticed your wicked good name. ;)

Were the ones you got at the end of May good through the end of June? Our trip goes into the next month and I was hoping we wouldn't have to worry about keeping track of dates when we got them.

All the rider swap tickets we got last week were good for 7 days.

I'm fairly certain that all of ours expired the end of June.
