We didnt take my toddler last time we went and my older boys were able to go on everything. When we go back this Oct my 3yo will be 4yrs 2months old. He would love everything but hes small so obviously cant go on everything. Doesn't a fastpass essentially work the same as rider swap? If we have FP for say, space mountain, is it better to just use the fp or rider swap?

A rider swap pass is better than a FP since you can use it any time that day (instead of the 1 hour window for FP) and it's good for 3 people. You should use FP for the people getting into the line and then get the rider swap.

Exactly. Combining FP (and you only need the number for the people riding, so can use one adult ticket plus the younger child's ticket to get 2 FPs for something else) and child swap is the way to go.
