Rider swap and tall 3 year old

Thank you everyone for your input. 7DMT definitely has rider swap as we used it last year with no problem and no measuring. My daughter was just 2 and you could tell she was too tiny to ride. This year though she is probably just going to make the 38" so I didn't know if they were actually going to measure her.
I wish we could all ride together as a family but she won't go on it. She also has mild sensory issue which is why all the rides really scare her. I am tiny and my kids all got the tall gene from my husband. Just don't want to have to wait in the line 2x. Will take hours to just do the one ride. I'll take off her shoes if they try to measure her. Even if she Meets the height requirement because of her age i don't think I would feel safe letting her on the ride anyway.

Go at rope drop, it won't take hours. Have you tried to get FP+ for the attraction?

The CM made me take my 2 year old (close to 3yo) son out of the stroller to measure him at 7DMT. He was tall enough to ride so they wouldn't let us get the rider swap. I thought he may be scared but he went on the ride and ended up loving it.

Those kids will surprise you if they think the ride will be fun and will probably only be afraid if someone tells them it's scary.

My fondest Disney memory is chasing my then 3 year old daughter back to the entrance of Space Mtn moments before midnight with her screaming "one more time Daddy" all the way.

The problem is that there are so many rides where the exit is different than the loading area.

Once DS was freaking out about dinosaur and DH was being obnoxious about it. At one point where there was a door and a cm I put my foot down (none of us had been there or on Dino yet) and asked if he and I could leave. The cm opened the door AND gave me a swap pass to come back. She was glad someone had some sense. But you can't rely on that sort of cast member being right there.
