Rider swap- 2 parents, 1 infant- with 1 fastpass

Could someone please clarify, because I know its probably not as complicated as im making it. DD is 2.5 and unable to ride any coasters or thrill rides that me and DH want to ride. Can someone clarify if we can do this (bc this is what i THINK im understanding from the research on rider swap).

I can get ONE fastpass for BTMRR. I can go to the CM at the entrance and show him DD and tell him we want rider swap. I can go through the fastpass line (condsidering this is my fastpass choice) and ride the ride. When I am done, I come out, give DH the swap pass, and he can go through the fastpass line and ride.

Is this how it works with having the fastpass?

Also, we are going with 5 adults and DD a bit later in the year. When we do this, we can also use the rider swap but when my mother (staying back with DD) goes after the first 4 of us ride, she can then go through the fastpass lane with 2 of us adults so she doesnt have to ride alone?

If both you and your husband have FPs for a ride, you wouldn't even need to show your daughter, or do parent swap, you would just use your fast pass as normal each standing in line separately.

True, but using the rider swap gives them more rides- virtually doubling their fp+ choices. It would be a waste for them to each get their own fp+.

awesome, this is exactly what i wanted to know. If there is only the 3 of us and DH and I could only ride alone, we just need one FP to be able to ride quickly. Thank you!

That's good to know, I was under the impression that this kind of parent swap has gone away with the change of the disability pass. We will have so many more FPs to use having two little ones, we must have just ran across a few mis-informed CMs.

There were a few reports early on of cms not knowing what they were doing, but that hasn't happened in a long time. I think they're all on the same page now. Only the first riders are required to have a fp+.
