I curious about people that have used both. Do you think one offers better plans than the other? Right now I have a subscription to Touring Plans, but am wondering if Ridemax is a better way to go. What has your experience been? Thanks!

If you are talking about creating touring plans in particular, ad at DLR, RM is much more flexible IMO as you can choose all of your own rides and add the same ride more than once. You can also take advantage of all the FP tricks.

TP has a Lines app for smartphones for wait times and I like that much better than what RM has for in park assistance.

You must have read my mind because I was thinking of this question last night myself. I've used RM in the past with great success but last year I didn't bother because I kinda knew what I should ride first, but with the addition of CL and early entry I think I'm going for the extra help. I also used the TP app last year and it was helpfull too. I figure a combo will probably be the way to go for me.

We did both on the last trip and Ride Max was useless. It requires other guest to report line wait times and give feedback for it to work. On our trip only one other person was reporting line times. So just the two of us for the whole park.

I think you are confusing Ridemax with another program. There is no way to enter wait times in RM.

I think the poster was confusing RM with another product as well. But RM does allow users to enter wait times. When I checked it in July no one was doing it. But it does support it.

Has anyone used either RideMax or Touring Plans recently? I was wondering if they were accurate or not still with the addition of CL? I will be in DL from the 15th -25th and would love to use one. If they use the year's past info, I'm guessing it wouldn't be completely accurate since things are so different this year.
Thanks!

I currently have a subscription to ridemax. I use the web based version on my android. It makes it easy to customize personal touring plans. I have not used in the park yet so I cannot comment about accuracy. I have compared daily wait times from mousewait and it seems pretty accurate. I tried touring plans when they first started the DL version, it was way off.

... Edit, I have used Ridemax several times in the past. Just not since carsland.

RM does not strive for accuracy. They strive to create an itinerary that you can complete on time. TP wait time strives for accuracy - even in cases where they may underpredict. I have not used a TP itinerary so I do not know about that.

Used RM a few times since Carsland opened. They were on top of the Carsland changes and I found them to be accurate.

We had the touring plans Lines app on our last trip (end of September), along with mousewait. Neither was very accurate. Mousewait wasn't updated often enough, and most the time touring plans was just waaay off. I walked by HM at one point and TP gave it an estimated 5 min wait, and the line was huge, snaking through temporary ropes outside the gate. I believe it was posted 40 min.
