RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

I have a quick question. We will be going to EPCOT on Sunday, Nov. 13. I can't put that date in so I'm supposed to pick another day. I'm not sure which day I should put in. I could put in Sat. Nov. 12, but touring plans has the crowd level much higher than on Sunday. I could use Tuesday, Nov. 15, touring plans has the crowd level about the same, but the food and wine festival is over so not sure how that would affect crowds on Sunday. All these days are not recomended according to ridemax.
This is our arrival day (should be at EPCOT around 2pm) and we're eating at Garden Grill (ADR at 5:30) and want to get a few attractions done in Future World.

How accurate is Ridemax wait times? I'm looked at HS on a day in Nov. It has Toy Story Mania being a 35 minute wait at 4:00. I thought TSM would be a longer wait at that time. That is without using fp. Do you think this is correct? They are also have Star Tours being a 35 minute wait, which I thought would have a shorter wait. Anybody used Ridemax recently that can tell me whether or not the times were correct?

Pick another day that has the same expected crowd level. That way you can get a schedule that is close.

Your wait times in November (unless during the Thanksgiving Break) will be less overall. TSM times have been decreasing slowly over time, it is no longer a brand new ride. However, they recently completed a total overhaul of Star Tour which may account for the longer wait times there.

I have not used ridemax since my last trip which now feels like a life time ago but I would expect that the wait times will be very close to correct.

I have heard of this happening at less busy times of the year. Guests rush to TSM and pick up FP and or ride. later FP guests return but most guest assume its the busiest time of the day and dont come back. Thr parade is around this time so it makes since that guests may not be back yet if they watched the parade then got a drink, hit a shop etc.

I have found ridmax to be accurate within 3min on both my May 09 and 2010 trips. Only time it was off was on the MK electric parade where we needed to sit and wait about 30 min before suggested time but we prefer to be on main street and I think they recomend being on the other side of the castle.

Have a great time!

I am playing around with the software and reading all I can, but I can't seem to find the answer to this question...

How long should you allow for a table service or for a quick service meal?

Also,
What time frame is best for lunch and dinner to both miss the eating rush and then the attraction rush?

Is it just me or is ridemax down today? When I try to open the program it says it can't access the internet, and when I came online to troubleshoot google says it can't connect to ridemax.com. Anyone else having problems?

Edited to add: My internet is otherwise working, that's why I'm assuming this must be a ridemax problem.

I just tested my Ridemax program and it's working just fine. I also connected to ridemax.com without a problem. I use Google Chrome for my browser. Perhaps you can switch browsers?

Table service. Character buffets take about 60-90 minutes or so. But some of the a-la-carte places can take up to 2 and a half to 3 hours at dinner or you can be out in 60 minutes at lunch. It all depends on the restaurant, your habits, and other factors.

If we have an ADR for a lunch, we usually schedule it at 12:30 or later. We'd rather take a break after prime morning touring. At the counters, however, you're stuck in line rather than having an ADR. So we always try to get in no later than 11:00 am. We just eat a quick banana in the morning on the way out on those days and we're hungry for lunch by that time.
For counter service, again, if you're there on time, you can be in and out in 30 minutes. Or, if you're not, you can end up taking an hour and a half or more. Dinner at the counter service places isn't quite as hectic as lunch.

Thanks for the response. So maybe it is just my computer then?! I do use Chrome as my browser. Ridemax is still not working for me today. Everything else is working fine. Ridemax can't connect to the internet, and I can't view the site online either. :confused3 It was previously working for me, up until yesterday, and no settings were changed on my computer. I am stumped!

I'll have to have my DH, who is a lot more computer savvy than I am, take a look at it tonight.

It seems some tweaks have been made to RD here since my last visit. Let me know your opinions.

TSM at rope drop - ride then get FPs or get FPs first, then ride (6 riders). Is it different if it's an EMH arrival?

9AM open on Non-EMH MorningIt seems we could have DH sign up DS and DD for JTA once we go thru turnstiles before the ropes drop on the 50's/HV side of the street. Or do they just queue but not sign up until official RD? I could go position myself to get FPs for TSM at rope drop and if DH gets the kids signed up quickly could try to join me and we could ride TSM.

8AM EMH arrival In this case it still seems that JTA sign up is happening before RD on the 50's/HV side of the street so DH could bring them over there and get them signed up while i get a spot for the RD to go to TSM.

Thanks,

Anyone have any idea when January will be up? I have planned my first 2 days...Dec 30th & 31st...but I have 7 more days after that to plan!

The next month is usually up by the 15th 6 weeks prior. For instance December dates were out October 15th.

Happy planning! :)

Anhy thoughts on how the potential new FP system will affect us RM users? I know we will have to deselct late FP arrival but was just curious about thoughts on what will happen to our typical way of touring....

I think I will need to plan my park days more around areas than headliners.... hit one half MK one day and the other the next to avoid the criss cross.'

I am particularily concerned as we have a trip March 24 - shortly after the supposed implementation of no late FPs....

Yikes! :scared1:

Yes, they explain on their facebook page. They also have a video explaining what to do and what difference it will make in an overall plan. You may have to like their page, I don't remember. Here is the link:

Couple of questions.

I just bought Ridemax but haven't donwloaded it. I don't know if it will let me install it on my work PC and then again on my home PC. I'd also like to use it with my wife's iphone but that won't be until closer to our arrival date (Late May).

I'm thinking I bought the software too soon. I saw it lasts for 90 days but that doesn't mean I can view up to 90 days right now, right? People are saying the months data doesn't come out until ~45 days before the month starts???? :confused3

The folks at Ridemax are very easy to work with. I've downloaded the software on both work and home PCs. I just had to contact them and they allowed me to do so. I think you're right on the 45 days thing. Maybe 45-60 days? I think I bought it the beginning of January for a mid-March trip and it wasn't until the middle of January or so that I could see my days. I'm sure you could contact them and discuss your concerns. Again, they are very nice to work with.
