Any DIS'ers out there used Ridemax since Breakout opened? Would like to hear about your experience with the plan.

With the instant return FPs, I've found it's better to just keep an eye on the app during the day and plan accordingly.

We purchased RideMax before our trip, but didn't end up using it. Nothing against them, we just ended up making some last minute decisions that changed things. We mostly used the Disneyland app for wait times and FP estimates. It was mostly good, but I'd recommend personally checking out anything you don't trust. At least one time we were waiting to pick up a FP for either Guardians or RSR and the FP return time seemed to be "stuck" in the app. When we went to the FP distribution area, I confirmed the app was not properly updating for that ride at the time. I think that only happened once during our week, but I think it's worth noting for a ride you really want to ride.

In our experience the last week of June, I'd think it would be very hard to nail a consistent Guardians plan. They've basically setup a behind the scenes queue, just to handle the FP distribution. Walk on lines were long every time we looked, so we used FP to ride it twice that week. One day we arrived first thing in the morning and the FP distribution queue was slammed, so we left, did a few other rides and came back an hour or two later when you could walk straight up to the FP distribution. That meant a later ride time, but that worked for us. The second time we tried in the morning, the FP distribution line was short.

I've considered biting the bullet on Ridemax, but I'm glad to hear that it might not be absolutely necessary.

I guess that, as a WDW veteran, I'm nervous about tackling both parks over two days, one park per day(non-hoppers), non-early hours.

From what I've gathered, this *seems* like the plan that most people suggest:

DLR
Peter Pan at rope drop
Hit up other FL attractions that are all within close proximity
Make a choice whether to go get SM FP's and do TL, or go get Indy/Fantasmic FP's and do that side of the park

DCA:
-GOTG FP's
-Go knock out Cars Land
-Go back and use GOTG FP's

Am I way off on this?

I know that Peter Pan at rope drop is the standard plan, and if you can be at the front of the line for that, great... but if you aren't going to be first and will wait 30+ minutes, I think that time is better spent on other rides. Then swing back and hit PP later, even if it means waiting a few extra minutes. 20-30 minutes in the morning can mean several rides if they're not PP, and even 40 minutes later in the day won't = several rides.
