Ridemax question

You guys convinced me to give it a shot... so far I like it.

I'm not going until late September/October so I can't use it that much yet. I'm a little disappointed that I can make practice plans based on last years hours for when I'm going but I have been playing around with the program using current dates and it's pretty cool.

I put in a ton of rides and according to the plan my day will be done by 11am... with me returning late that night to use my fastpasses. Guess I'm overestimating how long the rides and walking will take but from what I remember it took us a lot longer to do that same number of rides when we were there before. Of course this *could* be because ridemax is actually working and giving us a clear course of action. :confused3

Some of the info under the tip section of the ridemax webpage is a little old, it's still talking about the WOC opening up.

I'd also like to do a plan for more than one day at a time.

I have heard they hired someone to focus on DLR and if so that should help them improve things.

I agree with that. I also know they haven't been collecting information on DLR for as many years as WDW. I had the opportunity for a 6 hour visit to DLand back in 2007 post cruise. Already a fan of the Touring Plans for WDW, I emailed them asking for a plan for DLand - they did not have anything for DLR at that time.

Being a WDW vet, this whole AP/non-AP stuff has me reading tips more than once to make sure what applies, or doesn't apply to the "regular" guest. :upsidedow The whole system seems to have many "rules" - this day, not that day, this guest, not that guest, this park, not that park, on-site, off-site, 3day pass or less, hours changing often, blackouts, etc. I imagine it would be hard to design a program to take all that into account, especially when it can all change next week! :rotfl2:

Then again, whenever something is "new" (ie DLand rules to me) it can seem overwhelming when compared to something one is already accustomed to (Extra Magic hours at DWorld) which admittedly may be just as confusing to a newbie.

NTL, I am simply VERY GRATEFUL for the all the other Disney Diehards that share their knowledge (and excitment!) on these boards!

Their attendance forecasts are inaccurate? Ugh I was really banking on twos and threes for my October trip
Well, that's been my experience, but I'm sure you can find others to disagree with me. momsquad appears to have had a more positive experience than I.

I don't live near a Disney Park so I don't have a ton of data to back up my claims. All I know is, each time I've tried it, either at WDW or DL, it's been ridiculously inaccurate. There are some good tips available to TouringPlans subscribers, and I like the Lines App OK, but the crowd meter is not worth the price of membership.
