Ridemax question

Does Ridemax help you figure out best days to do what or simply what order to do things in? I am used to TGM for WDW telling me everything and then letting me adjust as I need to.

My other issue is that I use a Mac and Ridemax says there has been some luck in using a program that will let you run Ridemax, but I don't want to go thru all that trouble (and it would be trouble for me) if Ridemax doesn't give me all I hope to know.

It won't tell you that Monday is the best day for a certain ride, for example. You would have to imput the ride on different days and see for yourself when it is best. It will tell you the best order for the rides and time period you put in.

I don't have a Mac so can't say if it is worth the trouble, but no, it doesn't give you day suggestions.

It will not tell you the days to go. At DL, it is not much of a factor about which park to choose because of the day, like it is at WDW. WDW is a nightmare, trying to choose the best park for the best day..... what hours each one is open from day to day...... if it is early entry or extra hours, and so on. I had spread sheets all over the place.

DLR is much SIMPLER! DL and DCA stay open the same hours everyday for the most part. They close early during the week, and on weekends stay open late. During holidays, high season and summer DL will be stay open late everynight. And park hopping is a breeze! You can walk back and forth all day from park to park. So if one it too busy, go to the other one.

What Ride Max will tell is if the day you have chosen is an early morning entry. Then give you the low down on what will be effected by this. It also tells you what rides are closed, and so on. I'm sure that it will have extensive information on the World of Color opening, and the effect this will have on DCA.

I happen to love RideMax. I've used it quite a bit. It really does help on the ride waits, and also gives you other clues about touring DL.

After signing up for it, you can keep changing it. You have lots of options.

Not sure about using a MAC. I just got one myself. Hmm?
I can't imagine the program not working on one.
I'm sure they would refund you, if it didn't work.

I have been able to use RM on more than one PC. You can buy an annual license or 3 month license for DLR. If you buy the annual you can start experimenting 9 months in advance. But RM does not offer ride wait times until 4-8 weeks in advance. So if you used it now you would have to use alternate dates that have comparable crowds.

While this may disappoint, I would never trust itineraries created now for something 9 months down the road. Too much can change. Even RM suggests people re-run all itineraries as close to departure as possible to get all of the most recent updated statistics.

Not sure about using a MAC. I just got one myself. Hmm?I can't imagine the program not working on one.I'm sure they would refund you, if it didn't work. Good luck!

I am a MAC user also and that is what has keep me from trying it. I actually contacting the owner several years ago about the issue and was told he was going to write one for MAC's - guess not!!! And I also read about downloading that software to make it MAC compatible. Since the free trail of the software is only for 30 days, I am going to wait until a month before our trip and try it. I don't see me using that software for anything other than Ridemax so definitely want the free trial.

Ridemax also offers a 30 day guarantee or they will refund your money so if I keep everything in the 30 day period, I figure I will minimize my risk while I try it. A lot of people swear by it so I am going to give it a shot this time.

I'm pretty sure that you're allowed to download RideMax onto two computers.

(I think that's what RideMax's user agreement says.)

That is exactly the approach I intend to take, if I use it. Just wondering if I would need to wait until 30 days prior to my checkout day for this to work.

I do have a PC at home, but it is upstairs, and my mac laptop is downstairs so I don't have to isolate myself and can watch tv, etc. while doing this kind of stuff. We will hae to compare nots afterwards to see how this goes for both of us.
