Ridemax or other touring plans

We usually use TGM for WDW touring. I can apply some of those tips into DL touring. However I still wanting a good touring plan. I looked at the Unoffical Guide to DL ones.

Thinking about RideMax. Any reviews of it for DL touring? How is it compared to TGM?

I really like RideMax. Once you play around with it for awhile, you can customize it down to specifics. The only tough thing is that it doesn't include parades and shows, but you can just schedule breaks during the times that you will be waiting and watching them. Another drawback is that they don't have Sundays available, but you can build a plan with the Saturday info and it works pretty well, except when the hours are different.

I think all in all, it is a great way to simplify your planning, and it is well worth the minor expense. HTH!

RM has a very similar philosophy to TGM. At WDW I use both.

$14.99 for 90 days, I think, and a little more for a 1-year subscription. There are a lot of hints on the RideMax website, but I tend to pick my days based on experience, info here on the DIS, UOG, ect, and then put them in RideMax.

That is WDW thinking. It does not apply at DLR. At DLR you should really park hop every day.

No reason not to visit each park every day.

I agree.

Start each day at DL (especially since you're staying at the DLH & you'll have MM on S days & T days). Hop to DCA (or to the DLH for your rest) when it gets more crowded at DL. Then back to DL (or DCA) after your mid day rest.

Hop each day.

FWIW, you can use RideMax to create a spreadsheet.

(The spreadsheet would show the rides/attractions and their wait times throughout the day.)

It takes some time to create a spreadsheet, but it's helpful for touring; especially if you're into "Informed Spontaneity."

"SunDevilDaddy" described how to use RideMax to make a spreadsheet in the following post:

First open a new document in excel
In column A1 type "Ride"
In column B1 type "Land"
In column C1 type "Length"
Now in columns D1-T1 type 8am - 12am assigning each column a time of day.
Next in rows A2-A42 type in each individual ride name as it appears in ridemax
Now you have a simple spreadsheet you can fill in with ride times throughout the day.
Here comes the tricky part.

Open ridemax and set your date at the park.
Select the hours in the park as 8am to 9am. (be sure to use no breaks)
Select the first ride on ridemax's list (Alice) and enter it 3 times into your agenda. (the reason being is that you have to enter a minimum of 3 rides and if you type in 3 separate rides ridemax will attempt to eliminate the most waiting and will not give you a reflection of the wait at that exact hour).
Now click on create my itinerary.
Whatever wait it shows for 8am - enter into D2 on your spreadsheet.
Now repeat this process each hour throughout the day. (Note: at times during peak hours ridemax will inform you that you do not have enough time to create a plan. Adjust the hour from 11-12 to 11-12:15 and you should be able to get an itinerary that gives you the wait times on the hour.)
Once you have the wait times for Alice entered repeat the process with the next ride.

When you are all done, you will be able to quickly check your spreadsheet for advice on what rides have low wait times at that hour, etc etc.
