I am going to Disney and US in May. I am bringing my mom and my best friend. My best friend is extremely nervous about going to US because she is afraid that she may not fit in the rides and doesn't want to be embarrased. She is a size 26/28 pants...that being said, can anyone tell me what rides we should steer clear of...

the only 2 I can think of are ROTM and MIB. she should be fine for everything else.

They have test seats in front of each ride. She can sit down and have her picture taken with friends. That way she won't feel embarrased. Hulk, and Deuling Dragons have big person seats in row 6.

I am very large sized, pooh sized they like to say here...MIB was no problem, I can fit in there with no problem but Revenge of the Mummy is another story. They have to click the bar down to a certain level for safety, if they cannot get it to click you cannot ride. They initally put me in front this last trip but could not get the bar to click down, they had to move me to the back row which is larger and they got it click. You might want to suggest to your friend and the ride attendant that you need the back row... :flower1:

Have a great trip now.. :flower1:

I too am plus size (a little smaller than your friend) and we were at US in August. I had no problem on MIB or ROTM but I did not fit in DD or IH-I tried both and it was too tight for me to fit in comfortably. It was just the two coasters I couldn't go on. I have vowed to lose weight by this August to be able to go on the rides I mised out on! Great incentive! I had no problem on any of the Disney rides. Good Luck!

My hubby and I loved that about the Universal Parks. All the coasters have as my hubby puts it. . . fat guy seats. The ride operators are very helpful with telling you which rows have them. We had never seen that before. As it turns out, Sea World and Busch Gardens also have "fat guy seats."

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

We were just there last week. I am the same size. I was able to go on the Mummy coaster. I didn't try the Hulk or the Dueling Dragons...had no interest. I didn't try MIB either. A lot of my weight is in my stomach. I found that on a few rides, "lifting" my tummy to the top of the lap bar did help. Not a very nice visual, but it made a difference. I did this on Back to the Future, and Spiderman and Jimmy Neutron. And on the popeye water ride, they showed me where a "better fitting" seatbelt was. They were very discreet and I certainly appreciated it.
