As a Disney alternative, considering going to Universal during our Florida trip (since WDW is closed). I haven’t been in about four or five years and I’m not too crazy about thrilling rollercoasters.

A few Disney coasters that terrify me are Tower of Terror and Incredicoaster/California Screamin’. Any rides to avoid in Universal? I was okay with the rides I’ve been on in Wizarding World so far. How is the newest Hagrid ride?

Also was wondering if someone could describe Mummy to me. I don’t want to spoil it completely by watching YouTube

mummy is Indiana Jones. Same type of ride vehicle. I don’t do any roller coasters, so dont pay attention

So the only things I would avoid if I were you are Hulk Coaster and Rip Ride Rockit.

New Hagrid coaster is relatively "tame" in that it doesn't have big hills or inversions. It has speed boosts and some other thrilling surprises, but it always stays low to the ground zigging and zagging through the forest. It's quite good.

What is it about the Incredicoaster that terrify you? If it is the launch, then you need to avoid Hagrid's, Rip Ride Rockit, Hulk and Mummy. If it is the inversion and you are fine with a launch, then you can add Hagrid's, Rockit and Mummy back in there.

The only ride that Universal has like Tower of Terror is Dr. Doom.

I’m the resident Drop Chicken and LOVE Hagrid’s. Won’t do Hulk, Rip Ride Rockit, Jurassic Park or Ripsaw Falls but everything else I can think of is ok!

So speed doesn’t bother me at all, it’s more about large drops and how you’re strapped in. Tower of Terror would be fine if I had something a little more like a life preserver to wear. I’ve actually never been on Screamin’ or Incredicoaster, but I just visualize the height and look of it and feel how scared I was to ride wooden coasters in Six Flags that had a tendency to get stuck. Yes, I know it’s a different design and Disney isn’t Six Flags, but I just feel anxious about those.

If you've done Gringotts since it sounds like you have, you could easily do Mummy no problem. Although Gringotts has a drop and Mummy has a launch, it's about the same level of thrill. Personally, I prefer Mummy way more even if I'm way more connected to the Harry Potter material.

Hagrid's is mostly launches, but it doesn't really go high. It's in a weird category of its own so it's hard to describe, but if heights are what make you nervous, you should be fine on Hagrid's.

Some rides to avoid for you: The Hulk, Rip Ride Rock It and Dr. Doom's Fear Fall are the ones that first come to mind. Maybe Jurassic Park River Adventure or Dudley Do-Rights too? They have rather intense drops, especially Jurassic. Granted I don't want to dissuade you too much since a lot of these are really fun, especially Hulk and Jurassic.

Mummy uses a coaster track while Indiana Jones is a completely different system that's more slot car than actual coaster. Spider-Man and Transformers would be the more similar counterparts to Indy. For Mummy... I'd say it's a way less intense Rock N Roller Coaster with slower dark ride elements.

When I showed up at Cedar Point and saw Top Thrill Dragster from the parking lot I said “no way!!” But my teen made me ride it and it was amazing! I’ll ride that sucker over and over even though it scares me every time! So, don’t be a wuss. 🤗 You never know until you try! Man, if I could start every day on RRR, the Hulk or any awesome coaster, I would be starting my day off right!
