Hi,
I'm leaving for disney in 2 weeks and i have a back injury. I'm familiar with the rides and know what is/isnt appropriate, but how is RoR? Is is shaky or jerky? I want to ride it sooooooo badly but i think i may have to sit out. Were also going to universal studios and I've never been there. I've heard ET isn't bad... but im not planning to ride much. I won the trip to disney in a sweepstakes and just plan to chaperone the kids and enjoy the scenery. It's also my first time in a scooter. Pretty much anything with a physical limitation ill have to pass and i know RoR is one of them...

Hi and Welcome to our corner of the DIS!

I have yet to get to ride ROTR - we last visited in January - so I can't say from first hand experience, but based on the POV videos I have watched, my take is that it might be a bit jerky in places, and unless you are in a wheelchair, you will need to be able to transfer from the ECV (a Cast Member will take it away to the exit of the ride for you) at a certain point into the ride vehicle, and because of a manufactured sense of urgency related to the storyline, you may feel rushed at that point.

Certainly, I would consider ROTR to probably be less jerky than - for example - Toy Story Mania or Swirling Saucers; and while I can ride both of those, I also know to brace myself prior to the ride starting, and I work hard to keep my core strong to help mitigate some of my lower back issues (which are plentiful).

Everyone has a really personal level of what might be painful or too jerky or too bumpy. Since this is kind of a special trip, and I know you want to have happy memories to go with your sweepstake win, maybe search out some POV (point of view) videos of people actually riding those rides to give you the most accurate idea. I highly recommend Big Fat Panda and Tim Tracker both for POV type videos, but there are many others out there.

Congratulations on your win, and your trip!
