Hi everyone,
I always hear people say "ooooh, Disney should do a ride like that" or "Gee, that would be a cool ride". I love to hear these ideas. They fascinate me. I have one about Monsters Inc. The doors at the end that swing through the back part of the factory would make an excellent ride. Not necsasarilly (however you spell it) a thrill ride but possible a combination slow ride and thrill ride like the Pirates ride or the Nordstrom in Epcot. They tell you a story but along the way have thrilling drops. I think that the cars could litterally be doors with seats extending outwards from them. It would be a suspension ride like Peter Pan. The whole story of Monsters Inc. could be told through large movie screens and objects like in Peter Pan. This ride combines a great movie and three great rides.

I know everyone has better ideas than this so go on and share :earseek:

P.S. I used to be goofy4disney91 for those who knew me.

This could be a really fun ride. :earboy2:

I think a ride from a live movie could be cool. Maybe something like Freaky Friday..... :rockband:

Don't have any ideas for it really, but if I come up with something, I'll let you know....

PS - I am no Imagineer. :wizard:

Herbie the Love Bug has a couple of resort buildings in All Star Movies, but no ride. A combo VR and Rollercoaster could be really cool, with passengers sitting in the "back seat" with no driver. If you have been to DLR think of the Toontown Taxi ride as a starting point.

How about a grand canyon raft ride. Lots longer and great themeing. Kali is just too short. It could go in MK.

I've always thought they should have a "Chunnel" between the UK and France in the WS.

"Dinosaur" ride vehicle only at Studios. Go through one of WDW live action films where they have a lot of driving and scenery.

Rock-n-Rollercoaster type ride that runs between Tomorrowland and Frontierland. Stations at each end. A transportation ride AND a thrill ride. Of course you would have to queue up for the return trip :)

I'll think of some others, never fear...

You remember the scene in Emperor's New Groove where Krunk and Yzma go to the lab? What a rush! I always thought Krunk had it right, "Stick your arms in the air!" (or something like that.) What a cool ride!

Hey guys glad of your responses. However, I had a computer mishap and started the same type thread twice. Let's all just respond on the "Tell me what rides you would make for Disney World"

I always thought Beauty and the Beast would make a neat family ride. The ride would consist of going through the castle during the be our guest number.

I am actually sending this into disney imagineering.

It has to do with horror movies im gonna see if they can put it in the mgm studios in wdw. ok here it is.

Title: A night at the movies

Type: roller coaster

It starts out with the scream telephone scene in the headphones on the seat
and it says do you like scary movies and then Drew Barrymore says it depends what kind? And villian says all of them then ride starts moving slow on a 300 foot track slowly. And there will be movie screen on both sides of the indoor coaster displaying the pshyco scene (no blood or swares) as the pshyco theme plays the ride gets faster (your in the dark) then ride slows down as the halloween theme plays and after that is done a helix drop will come with three down turns the a turn will come and you see horror movie figurines. After that you will hit a loop you decide the rest...

... the Nordstrom in Epcot.

I like this ride! :rotfl: It starts with a shopping bag looking car and you go thru the various departments. At the perfume department, you're showered and sprayed with perfume, then in the makeup department, you're given an 10 second makeover! The ride ends when all the money in your wallet is gone and your plastic is maxed out! :rotfl:

Back to the real question... a Monsters Inc roller coaster ride would be cool, just like the scenes where Randall was chasing Sulley, Mike and Boo thru the various doors.

I would love to see them turn Tim Burton's nightmare before Christmas into a haunted house kind of ride.

From what I hear, Disney will have the rights to any Harry Potter rides. I would like to see a ride like Spiderman at IOA for Harry Potter. The ride vehicles would be the enchanted car that belonged to Mr. Weasley. It would take you through scenes at Hogwarts, the Dark Forest, the Shrieking Shack and maybe even take you flying on Buckbeak.

Haley Mills was in a movie called "In Search of the Castaways". There is a scene where they are on a piece of ice and go through a ice tunnel. I always thought that would make a good roller coaster ride.
