Ride handoff and Photo Pass questions?

Hi,

First off, what a great informative board! I am taking my 3 girls, 9, 7, and 4 to Disney by myself in March 7-14 at the Port Orleans Riverside, my husband can't get off work. I would love to get on a Photopass share, how do I do that? It seems like a great, budget friendly way to get great pics!

Also, I have questions about ride swaps, et cetera. My 9-year-old is VERY mature. She is planning on riding Rock N Roller Coaster, for example, that my 4-year-old can't ride. I would also like to ride it. Would it be possible for the 9 yo to ride while I wait with the 7 and 4 yo, and then the 9 yo could watch the 4 yo while me and the 7 yo rode? Would the CM try to keep an eye on them? (I know they are in no way responsible, just curious as to if they would be helpful in this instance.) Also, they want to ride Splash moountain, which I don't want to. Can the 4 yo and I wait near the exit for the 7 and 9 yo?

Any other ideas to help me on our trip would be great!!

Oh, I have been faithfully following the bag thread, I picked up a Sherpani Pica today that looks perfect with a small outside pocket for our KTTW et cetera. Would the pass holders on lanyards be useful for the 7 yo? How often do you have to get your keys/cards out?

I have decided to rent a stroller, though, after our trip to the mall today when I realized our 4 yo has more than outgrown her Peg P3!!

Thanks again, all!!

You could let the 9 yr old ride with the 7 yr old since the rockin Roller coaster seats 2 side by side. Then you ride with the 7 yr old. Yup, the 7 yr old rides twice. For once, the middle child scores!! remind the 9 yr old next trip they can take turns ride swapping.

Your 4 yr old must be very tall. My niece used the P3 I bought when she was 4.5 and she sat in it in December when she was 5 for a Christmas Parade (raining).

The prices for stroller rentals have gone up. There is a company that will bring a stroller to your resort and pick it up when you are finished. You may want to go over to the Budget Board and see if any Stroller Swaps are available. They also have the Photopass Shares on that Board.

I do think getting in on a Photopass Share will be good as you will have pictures with yourself and your kids. It's a lot of money without the share.

I don't know about your other questions, but I just wanted to say that I love my Sherpani Pica! I take it every time we go to WDW now. It's perfect for the things I carry every day in the parks and the fact that it's mostly waterproof has been wonderful when we have gotten caught in unexpected rain. You'll be very pleased with your bag! :thumbsup2

(I must warn you, though, that some CMs might not want to let your kids ride alone on some rides or stay unattended while you ride with one of them. I know we've been other places where the emplyees wouldn't let kids that age ride roller coasters without a parent, but I have no idea how Disney CMs would be about that. You might want to warn your kids of that possibility, though - I'd hate for them to be counting on riding and then not be able to.)

I would never leave a 9 yo and 4 yo unattended. The CM's are all busy and none of they are going to keep an eye on unattended children. Maybe it's just me, but I would never do it.

My 4-1/2 year old is 43 inches, and her feet drag the ground or the wheels or wherever she would like to put them. The foot rest is not very large and is at a bad angle for taller kids.

It is funny that you would never leave your 9 year old and the previous poster would. My 9 year old is VERY mature, more mature than my 7 year old will be at that age, I am sure, and I would never leave her, lol, she is sort of off in space sometimes! I just was wondering what others have done in this situation that worked for them. Thanks for all the replies!

Regardless of how mature a 9 year old is, things can still happen. I can just picture someone convincing them that they work for Disney and that they need to go somewhere else to meet up with you (the parent). Have you ever seen the shows with the hidden cameras where they coax the kids away at a park? Many of those kids were told over and over never to go with a stranger, and the parents were sure that they wouldn't but when someone shows up with a puppy all that goes out the window.

how does photo pass share work???? Can you do it with a family you know will be going the same time as you???? tell me tell me PLEASE:thumbsup2
