Ride Closures:

Firstly, does US post on their website rides that are down for refurbishment?

and Secondly, are their any rides (more specifically the water rides) that close down in the winter time (will be there beginning of December)? Looking more at Dudley Do Right (LOVE this ride) and Jurassic Park.

if a ride is closed, it will be posted in the park.

you could call guest services on the day you plan to attend to inquire for any closures for that day.

i have not known the water rides to be closed down in the winter.

when they re did duddly do right, it was closed and not for the reason of the season

Park websites are useless, and this is not only for Universal, but all theme parks in general. About the only thing they're good for is the hours. Maybe buying tickets, other than that, forget it.

Cedar Point had a ride status of Top Thrill Dragster on their web site after fans screamed for it. The park countered that fans could read a sign posted at the front of the park. Well DUH? Maybe I don't want to pay $11 to park if the ride I want to go on won't be operating.

Things that would be cool on a park website
1. Closed ride status with estimated opening date.
2. POV videos of all rides with no cut shots.
3. Wait board times.
4. Various web cams showing crowd levels in front of major rides.
5. Attendance figures

The wait board times and attendance figures would give everyone an idea of what to expect. The park has this information in real time. They know how many are in the park, and how long the wait for each ride is. They could put it on the web, and let everyone see it in real time.
