Ride Breakdowns.

Believe is or not, after literally dozens and dozens of trips over the years, I have never been on a ride that broke down, or been on line when a breakdown occured.

What do they do? Are you just SOL?
Do they give you a return pass? Seems like that would be a given.

I cannot fathom waiting on a 2 hour plus line for RoTR and being told it broke down come back later?

Is that what they do???

They usually give you a Fastpass that you can use for any rides except for the ILL ones (if you broke down on a ride that is not one of the ILLs) and in MK you can't use it on Peter Pan. On my last trip I was about to board Winnie the Pooh when it broke down and I received a pass that was good for any rides except Mine Train and Peter Pan.

I do notice that they don't give everyone in line a Fastpass. Also on my last trip I was in the single rider line for Rockin Roller Coaster and I was about to enter the preshow (I was in the studio portion of the queue) when the ride broke down. Everyone already inside the studio including single riders received a Fastpass that could be used on anything except Rise and MMRR but no one in the outside portion of the queue got one.

If you are actually on the ride, they will give you a fast pass to come back later. It's kind of a pain to have to be escorted off. It sometimes takes a very long time to get out.

So seems very spotty as to what they actually do?

The only time we got Fastpasses (paper) from a cast member was when BTMRR had been down for months on a refurb. We were taking “sad face” pics in from of the refurb signs, and lamenting not being able to ride. 3 cast member came up to us to helo with a family shot, then let us knownit would be opening a week earlier than expected, and they gave us 3 FP each…..yes each….to ride the next day, which was our last day at MK.

I was on ROTR when it broke down. They loaded a fastpass for ROTR to my magic band and told me to come back later when it was running again.
