We all know that Ride-A-Thons produce lag, and a lot of it. VMK crashed several times this weekend. My idea is to have a system that makes sure that none of the players go empty handed.
If you log in to VMK on the day of the Ride A Thon, you automatically get 5 or 10 of the prizes for that day. This way, if you lag out you still have something. If you don't log on, you get 1 of the prizes. This way, people have a "sampler" of the prize and can now decide how many of that prize they want and can now plan as to how to trade for it. Those who want additional prizes can ride the rides, which still cost the same 10 credits.
