A police officer saw a truck driver clearly going the wrong way down a one-way street,but did not try to stop him.Why?

There were six apples in a basket and six girls in the room.Each girl took one apple,yet one apple remained in the basket.How come?

I like your idea for the second one. Maybe one of them was allergic to apples and when that one went to eat it she had an allergic reaction.

Well, you never said that each girl took an apple from the basket....could it be that five girls took an apple from the basket and one took an apple that was sitting outside the basket?

i think for the first one pokemon mater got it but for the second one (even though i like pokemon master's view on it LOL) i think it is because the girl that got the apple last took the basket as well and left the apple in the basket making it that she took an apple and it still remained in the basket.

Maybe for the second one she grabbed an apple but then remembered she hated apples and put it back.
