This riddle as been really bothering me. Does anyone know the answer?


turn polar bears white
and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
and girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
and make your champane bubble.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?


97% of Harvard graduates can not figure this riddle out, but 84% of kindergarten students were able to figure this out in 6 minutes or less. Can you guess the correct answer?




I was thinking either water or No I can't guess the correct answer. What do you think?

Well, I can think if a couple of things. If a Kindergartner is answering is, it has to be a simple answer. "Something" will do all of these things.

Or if you want to look at it more logically, the actual question is "Can you answer this riddle?" The answer is NO because there isn't an answer to the riddle.

Put me down for "there is no answer because this is a joke/trick somebody made up". Is there any answer to any riddle that 84% of kindergarden students would get right?

the answer is "no i can't"...

the reason hardvard grads can't solve it is because the need an answer, like a person place or thing. kid usually want to take the easy possible so they say, "no i can't"

Is "No I can't" truly the answer? Or is it "Something?" Or is there actually an answer out there, and I should ask my Kindergartners on Tuesday what it is? Hmm... HELP! This has been bothering me now for like... two hours!

I'm going with the "no, I can't" as the answer...only because I'm not sure my Kindergarten would know what "celebrities" would mean - I would have to explain it meant someone famous and give an example.

And the question is "Can you answer this riddle?" - it's a Yes or No question. They didn't ask "What am I?" or something like that.

Similar to the answer kids sometimes get when they ask the teacher (in older grades - I do believe my DD came home and told me about this conversation but it's nothing new) "Can I use the restroom?" and the answer is "I don't know, can you?" since they didn't say "May I use the restroom".

I believe your second guess is correct. The kids would answer the question "Can you guess the riddle?" with No I can't. So that must be the answer. The Harvard group would be trying to get the answer.

think about it

pressure from the pole turns bears white

pressure on your bladder will make you pee

peer pressure will make you cry and make girls comb thier hair to look good

media pressure makes celebs look dumb and normal people under pressure shine.

heat pressure makes pancakes burn making them brown and pressure makes your champagne bubble

if you apply pressure aka squeezing it will pop

if you are under pressure looking at it then you will pop aka give it all away the secrets and such

so i dunno mabye that makes sense?
