And the rains came.....


We had so much rain yesterday that the roads were flooded everywhere. Never seen anything like it.

And lightening and thunder!!!!

NO MORE!! NO MORE!!!

We had to cancell a dinner out last night....just couldn't get around town!

I hope SOME OF YOU are having nice weather!

Well, Twins lost for the first time since the all star break, last night. I took my best friend, and we had fun catching up. It was a good game even though we came out on the short end. I have been having a great deal of breathing problems, so I have to make sure I don't have to come up the steps from our seats more than once a game. I usually stay down there the whole game. Tonight we have KC coming to town, so it is a VERY important series.

Gina - we have a parent/child golf tournament this Saturday. It'll mark Katie's golfing debut! She's a bit excited AND nervous about it. Here's hoping the rain has moved on by then!

WE have had rain forcasted for each day, but it has only rained a small amount at night. The temps have been absolutely perfect! It is even a bit chilly this morning.

Good Morning Everyone, rainy here in NH, but a welcome rain, without the thunder so far!!

MY rain story of the day:
yesterday DH flew to Atlanta for a training course in AL. His flight was at 12:15, due in ATL at 3:15. They never left NH until 4:30, and arrived after 7pm. The weather was so bad in ATL they weren't allowing anyone to land.
To make matters worse, they had to rent a car and drive 90 miles to Ft. McClellan (sp). Neil called at 12:30, the 1.5 hr. ride took 4, they said they've never seen so much water on the road.
SOOOOO......DH called at 12:30, and of course that meant I was up until 2 AM!!!!

5:30 came awfully early today!!!!!

Kara is the newest member of the Cobras - our city swim team - the coach isn't sure what level she will start out yet - but she is in

I do plan on taking Katie to the driving range before the tourney - if we can catch a dry day!

The golf tournament is part of the SUMMER SHENANIGANS program that one of the teachers at school runs. He schedules 40-50 events during the summer, ranging from Whale Watching, ball games, water park visits, trips to the beach, and this golf tournament. We'll play 4-man best ball and we need to use at least one stroke from each player off the tee. It's played on a par-3 course near here. We all get together afterward for a nice cookout too. I've done this with Matt and Erin - it's a real hoot!

I have been in those kinds of situations too, Steph. DH always calls when he arrives at a destination.

Your outing sounds like fun, Bernie.

I can't believe you guys have all had so much rain. I suppose I should bring my waders when we go down to WDW!

Has in the past, but this time not so much. I think it is because the cause is a bit different.
