No thunder & lightening here yet.........but it's still raining really hard. I like listening to the sound of the rain on the skylights

I think I'll go out to the new place and see what the rain sounds like on the steel roof. DH thinks it might be annoying in the bedroom, but I didn't remember even hearing it last time. Of course, the bedroom roof wasn't done then like it is now!

My DD is leaving tomorrow to go to Boston with her school choir and band. She's looking forward to singing with the Pops and eating at Cheers. I'm NOT looking forward to getting up (on a Saturday, no less) at 5:30 to get her to her bus for 6:30!

I think we are all in the wrong business.. $450 to have the dumpster... and then have it dumped and another $450 to get it again... grrrr.... add them to my dislike list, insurance companies.. garbage removal companies..

I just wanted to wish all the ladies here a Happy Mother's Day... all my daughters are coming home much to their chagrin and it is a working Mother's day for us all...........they have to do what I want and they are helping with this move... they missed the last one as they were in college and in finals.. or so they said.. Debbie - sounds like you and I are going to be doing the same thing tomorrow... up early with the chickens to get our DD's off to their Saturday road trips! I have to leave the house by 5:00 AM with her to get her to the school by 5:30... so it means we will be getting up around 4 AM. So much for resting up on the weekends! LOL!

Diane - when we camp in the pop-up, I love when it rains overnight. There is something about the sound of the rain on the pop-up that is very, very comforting.

Debbie - that sounds like a WONDERFUL time! ENJOY Boston! It's a great city!

Morning Everyone, gray and gloomy here, but I'm sure that it will start raining soon....very very dark......I could use an indoor day to put my house back together again.

Good luck to everyone hoping to avoid the rain this weekend.....we've got lots and lots of outdoor stuff that doesn't sound like it will get done......but that's okay...I've already said I'm not doing ANYTHING on Sunday (but a visit to my mom!!)

There is something about the sound of the rain on the pop-up that is very, very comforting.

I definately agree! My mom used to love thunder! She especially liked it if we were on vacation in the mountains. She just loved to be in the mountains during storms. I remember staying in Glacier park cabins one time during a big thunder storm. I think it was her favorite trip!

Happy Friday All!

Weddings, recitals, graduations, proms.....those things and POOL stories are a sure sign that summer can't be far away!!!! ENJOY all the celebrations!

Gail....most assuredly, thoughts and prayers continue to be sent to those still dealing with such unimaginable tragedy...

I think I actually might get pants today (it's been a busy week and I'm feeling the chill of rainy weather and missing pants!) and I've sent my PM!

Looks like my Mother's Day will be delayed. DD is going to be in Fargo for a Sweet Adeline's regional contest, and I have a dog show and baseball game Sunday, so DS, his SO, and DD are taking me to lunch Monday noon.

I usually dislike Mother's Day since my Mom died. I am gettin over that though, finally.
