It's too bad that the school board cancelled the trip for your DS Lars, although I can understand it considering the very bad publicity Toronto is getting right now. It's unfortunate that the WHO took that stand considering the fact that, in reality, SARS is being very well controlled there. One of the Doctors closely involved with this has said that he expects it to be completely over within a couple of weeks. Toronto has actually had fairly few people who actually have SARS and very few deaths from it, and most of them were the ones who had it before anyone knew what it was, and the ones that have died recently were mostly seniors with other medical problems that complicated the SARS.

I assume that the amusement park he was going to is Canada's Wonderland. My DD's whole school, K to grade 8, is going there in June for an end of year celebration. Either DH or myself will also be going. That place is very fun! We actually had a DISmeet there last summer.

Orchestra seats for the Lion King would be awsome! I saw it with DS's class a couple of years ago, but we had balcony seats. Even from there though it was an amazing experience!

I think his band teacher is trying to sell them to try & recoup some of our money if anyone is interested I could see if she still has any of them.

Marsha, I envy you building on the Cape. I have never been there in all my trips home. Maybe next year, DH and I plan on doing a trip to ME, MA, and NH. Maybe VT and PE Island, too. Mickey65, keep the faith, mom will get stonger every day.

I heard on NPR about the WHO contreversy in Toronto. I guess they don't want anything like what is happening in CHina going on there, but I believe the Canadians are not hiding anything and taking good precautions. Too bad about the band trip being cancelled, but if there are tickets to the Loin King left, maybe you could sell them to the bad Angels on the RMC thread!

I am doing my last minute chores before we leave for sin city, hopefully by 12:30. See you all on Monday, this is one trip I am not schlepping the laptop on!
